The Adventure Has Begun!

Sunday, 8 May 2016 - Happy Mother's Day
I finally left the Ranch at about 12:30.  I had actually started getting it all ready at about 10:30.  Im not quite as quick as I used to be.
Everything was fine heading down 79.  Bella was next to me in her bed shivering.  Hopefully she will settle in and get used to this.  Did I tell you she had lost 1.2 lbs since March.  She had a bout with fleas, she was super allergic and really broke out from them.  Then all the moving, and now this.  Hopefully she will settle into it and be ok.
I called Mom and Barbara to wish them each a Happy Mother's Day.  Rob has an ear bud (hands free) phone device, but my iPhone will not hook up to it, so I was talking through another system he hooked up so you can listen to the phone through the speakers.  Mom had trouble hearing me and Barbara said it sounded like I was talking in a tunnel.
About Lake Elsinore I hit traffic.  The notorious 15/91 interchange.  They are completely redoing it and eventually it will be great, but in the mean time it took me an extra hour and a half to to the 40 miles leading up to it and away from it.  The rest of the drive was fine.
I know the way to Seal Beach NWS by heart, so it was a piece of cake.  I was assigned a spot and unfortunately it is a back in rather than a pull through.  Great, I'm by myself.  But, a nice young guy came to my rescue and asked me if I wanted help.  He got me all backed in nice and straight and then realized I would have room for the slides, so we had to reposition.  Since I was only there for one night I didn't care that I wasn't straight.  I followed the check list and got all disconnected and set up.I opened the refrigerator door and all the beer and other things came sliding out at me.  Holy moly.  this is not a travel refrigerator.  Nothing broke thank goodness, so nothing to clean up.  Everything else in the cabinets seemed ok.  Glasses were fine, etc
Bella and I went for a walk.Yeah!  It was nice being out there.  She is feeling much better out walking, sniffing and exploring.  She even got to chase after a squirrel.  that has become her favorite past time.  I really do like the Salt Marshes here at Seal Beach

We went back to the Rig.  I thought I would hook my computer up to the TV so I could watch Madame Secretary and The Good Wife.  When I went to lift the TV its was all jammed.  I had put pillows in to press it against the padding in the front, but didn't think about it being able to swivel and swivel it did.  The bottom left corner jammed in and through the inner cabinet wall which wedged the top right corner under the lip of the cabinet.  It wouldn't go up or down.  Shit!  I ended up taking the two drawers out on the left and luckily there was not another wall separating the drawers from the TV cabinet.  I was able to take a knife and cut the wall a bit more which freed the cabinet.

What a pain in the arse.!  Once free it worked like a charm.  I hooked my computer to the TV and watched my programs via CBS total access over the internet.
Afterward, exhausted, I went to bed.

Monday, 9 May; Seal Beach.  I have a dentist appointment this morning.  That is why I came to Seal Beach yesterday.  Bella and I went out for a walk and a pee.  Came back and had some coffee.  Then I went to my appointment.  It took about an hour. Now my teeth are all clean.
Afterward I went to Target.  I wanted to get a a new silverware tray because the one we have looks terrible.  I also wanted a new soap dish or something.  I don't like the dish having water in it all the time.
I then filled the truck with diesel and headed back to the rig.  I put things away, pulled in the slides and hooked up.  It was about 12:30 when we hit the road for Port Hueneme.  It was an easy two hour drive.  No problems or incidences thank goodness.
I found the gate to the base very easily and found the RV park easily as well.  I sort of had my choice of spots which was nice.  I tarted to pull into one, but a table was in the way so I backed back out.  I started to go into the next one, but felt the table was in the way as well.  All of a sudden this couple who was walking by moved the table off the pad and I slipped in nice and comfy like.
