Arizona to Las Angeles

This RV Park is a very pretty place, up against some pretty mesas and stuff, but it is right up against the highway, and very close to a very active railway as well.
I took a glorious shower at the park while Rob fed the Yumster. When I got back we finished buttoning things up and hit the road. It was 8:50 when we got back on I-10. It was surprisingly cold, in the very low 40s. It was sunny and clear though.
The drive was pretty and pretty easy. It was about 8 hours. I drove first and finished off the tank that Rob started last night. Then we fueled again and Rob drove the rest of the way.
Driving through Arizona was pretty. It is odd the way the desert of Arizona and New Mexico are so pretty, but the same desert of California is not so pretty.
We arrived at Playa Del Rey at about 5 pm. It is a beach park. We are right up against the beach, but unfortunately they have plowed up a huge berm to protect from winter storms and high surges. So, we can’t see the water from here. But it is sooooooo nice to be in Calif, in LA, to be home.
We were all settled by 5:30. There was a beautiful sunset. Rob climbed up on the roof to check it out.
We ate dinner, chilled, and watched a couple episodes of “The Closer” then we went to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow. We are going to go through all the stuff in the Rv and get rid of that which we don’t need, and go to storage and find stuff we have been wanting.
Also, we have friends coming for dinner. I have not met them yet, but I am looking forward to meeting them. Rob likes them a lot.
