MONDAY JULY 1ST BENICIA, CA.

 Another beautiful day.

We decided to go for a walk and check out the town.  There is supposed to be a really yummy bakery here.  Unfortunately it is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.  Story of our lives;  we are always somewhere on the wrong day or the wrong weekend.

It is a really cute town.  Very much changes and larger since I lived here. Real estate is really expensive.

There are really cute condos all along the water front.

We found the following interesting site while walking back along the water way.

This is an amazing mural painted on the side of a building.  Look at all the cool activities depicted in this mural.

Krishen came by to check out our boat, visit with us and have lunch with us.  It was a nice visit.

It was really hot, so we got the floaties out and went for a little float around the marina.  I always grab my kayak paddle so i can paddle around a bit.

Later Rob and I walked up to Sailor Jacks.  I really wanted a seafood salad.  Chris, our awesome training captain, was in the area getting a car ready for his son.  He knew we were in the area so he came to hook up with us.  He met us at the restaurant and then we all went back to the boat.  Unfortunately he was not able to stay very long because he is hooking up with his son for dinner.  It was great seeing him again.

Blooms and Sean arrived at about 7 pm.  Earlier in the day Rob put out, to all his buddies, an invite to go from Benicia to Sausalito with us with the prospect of going out the gate and coming back in under the Golden Gate Bridge.  The invite was you drive to Benicia, get on the boat and cruise with us, then Uber with Rob to Tony’s to pick up our truck and then he would drive them back to Benicia to pick up their vehicle.

Blooms and Sean took us up on it.  Since we wanted to get an early start in the morning so we’d get to the gate before the winds picked up, they decided to come this eve and spend the night.

I hadn’t seen Sean for a really long time.  We grilled a Tri tip and had a salad.  Then sat up on the Fly Bridge enjoying the evening
