Monday, 3 July; McLane State Park,

It's another warm morning.  We took Bella out and then enjoyed our coffee.  We putzed around for a bit and then took Bella for a nice walk.  We are mountain biking today so she can't come with us.
We followed the trail that we had taken yesterday in the Park and let her run around.  Then we found the trail that went down to the dog beach.  It is nice that they have a dog beach.  There were no people or dogs on it so we had it all to ourselves.
Bella enjoyed that.

We discovered she semi tries to go after rocks that you throw in the water.
We were looking for agates so the rocks that were not agates we tossed into the water for her.
Rob did find a nice agate.
A nice one actually.  It might be real pretty all polished up!
A cool sea plane went by and waged its wings at us.
Rob was a little slow at getting the picture.  It came back by, but it was further away from the shore.
We left the beach and followed the trail back into the RV park.  The banks have really eroded away and there are many trees laying on the beach that have fallen due to the erosion.
We took Bella back to the rig and grabbed all our bike gear.  When we get it all out and she doesn't see her basket she knows she isn't going.
We loaded up and left.  We drove to Swedetown which was only about 10 min away and found the trail head.  There are several loops, all marked.  Some are easy, some moderate and some hard.  We followed all of the moderate ones except one that we were warned to stay away from because it was low and super muddy.  It was really fun, but super hectic.  I get mentally and emotionally exhausted.  There were a lot of roots and the narrow path quite often passed between two trees that always made me afraid that my handle bars were not going to fit through.
The trails reminded me of a roller coaster ride.  Slow, slow slow up the hill then scream down twisting, turning, zooming around curves, up and down little hills, swooping and swaying.  It was so fun.  And, adding to the thrill was that I was leading and had never been there before so had no idea what was coming up next.  That's what made it so exhausting for me.  The funny thing is that this was fun, but on a roller coaster I would have been sick.  I fell three times.  Once because my back tire slipped on a muddy rock and came out from under me.  Another time I was trying to turn around and couldn't get my foot out of my pedal as the bike got hung up and I fell over.  The painful part of that is that falling to the right the inside of my left knee lands on top of my bike.  Y'ouch! Falling to the left the bike lands on top of the inside of my left knee.  Same spot each time.  Double Y'ouch.
The third time I fell we were going on a planked pathway  that was only slightly elevated over the water.  There had been several of them.  They are only about 2 feet wide and this one was long with a couple of 45 degree turns.  I slipped off the left edge and fell over to the right smashing my shoulder.  I was stuck so had to keep yelling back at Rob that I was down so he wouldn't crash into me.  He had to help me up which was not easy.  Luckily it was the end of the ride, so no more crashes.
We went back home and Bella was sooooo happy to see us.
We grilled some steaks watched a movie and went to bed. \
We packed up some of the stuff inside because we are leaving in the morning and need to get an early start. We have a 6 hour drive.
