Bella and I got up very early. We grabbed an Uber ride and went to the Airport. We checked in and headed to the gate.
Rob is hopefully going to land a wee bit early from the last leg of his trip and meet us at the gate.
As I was getting ready to board he texted me and said he was running for the gate. He made it!
We flew to Reno which was a surprisingly smooth trip. Usually it is pretty bumpy around the mountains. I was amazed at how much snow there still is. This is July for heavens sake.
We grabbed a rental car and headed out to meet Jennifer in Truckee. We decided to meet at a restaurant which turned out to be a bust. There was a long line and no outdoor seating. It was a lovely day and we had both dogs with us. We finally decide to go to a deli, get food and then go down to Donner lake to eat. Right near the deli there was a farmer's market going on. We grabbed a couple items from there as well.
It was lovely at the lake. Bella, as usual, was very concerned about the people who kept going into the water. She feels she must warn them and tell them to "get out of the water" She barks her advice of course.
After lunch we went back to the house and changed into some hiking clothes. We went up to Sage Hen and did a really nice hike up there. It is soooooo beautiful in Tahoe. The weather, as usual, was absolutely perfect. The dogs loved it. We hiked out to the lake which is so full. It has actually over flowed its normal boundary by a football field. It was wonderful. We turned around there and hiked back.
We went back to Jen's and chatted while fixing dinner. It was pretty late by the time we ate. We chatted more and then went to bed.
