Thursday, 13 July; Minneapolis to Baraboo, WI

We relaxed this morning drinking our coffee.  It is nice here but we are moving on.  We are going to Baraboo, WI which is about 3 or 4 hours from here to visit our good friends; Don and Tina.  We met them several years ago when we did our Bike tour through Tuscany.  They were one the tour as well.  Since then we have gotten together in Seal Beach while they were visiting their son; and again in Portland, Oregon while they were visiting their daughter.  We have met the daughter, son-in-law (he is also a pilot for Alaska Airlines) and their 2 boys, but not their son and daughter-in-law.
We pack everything up and I went in to thank the woman who took such loving care of my plants and then we hit the road.
I just followed Rob the whole way.  It is such beautiful country.  Wisconsin is Dairyland and there are farms after farms.  It is horribly humid so everything is lush and green.
We arrived at Don and Tina's farm and fell in love with it immediately.  We pulled right up into their beautiful yard along side their garage.  We didn't have water or sewer hook-ups, but we were able to plug into their garage for enough power to run the refrigerator.  We had full water tank and solar so we were good.
Their place is so pretty.

This is the half circle view of their lawn area.  At the top of the  first and middle picture are all wild blackberries.  Yum! Also, behind them is all Devils Lake State Park.  That is also nice.

These are the other half of the circle.  In the bottom picture, back between the front of my car and the small shed is all pasture with cows.  The small shed is actually a water well with an open trough for watering the cows.  This whole thing used to be a dairy ranch.
This is the last small bit of the circle with our rig and their garage.  Bella loved exploring their huge yard and wanted to get closer to those "Moo Cows" but we wouldn't let her.  Don said they would go after her.
We had a lovely evening with them.  We grilled some Salmon, potatoes, peppers and it was all lovely.  We had a great time catching up.  They are such sweet people.
We finally went back to our abode and went to bed.
