I continued to sit outside and worked on the blog.
Finally about 10:30 I showered and Bella and I went for a long walk. I wanted to check out the lake.
We walked across the street behind a hotel and found a little dock and stairs leading into the water. From the stairs I could see there was an outdoor restaurant on the marina. Cool.
So we walked on the street that is along the lake. There are some really pretty homes with lovely yards down along the water. The homes are on the right side of the street and then their docks and or sitting areas are on the other side of the street.
Many of them have fire pits along the water and most of them had wood all stacked up and ready to be lit.
Some of them have fenced in areas so that their children and/or pets can run free down by the water.
I came upon this sail boat, It's a trimaran called a Weta. Rob and I got checked out on the Weta and a couple other sail boats a year or so ago down in San Diego. This is the first one I have seen since.
We continued our walk and I came upon this house and yard. I absolutely love it.
This is a panorama photo of the whole yard and the house
This is the house at the top of the yard
This is at the center of the yard I guess I didn't get one of the bottom of the yard with the dock and the lake.
After that we turned around and walked back home. It was pretty warm.
Rob got home a little while later. He had a good ride and said the people were really nice. He had a good time.
We were looking for something to do and discovered there was a car show and art fest south of us in a little town called Polson so we decided to go check it out.
It was pretty cool. Some really neat cars.
This is actually the trailer to this one. It's a hot tub. Pretty funny.
This one is a combination Corvet. It is a mixture of a 1962 and 2004. It was pretty. I liked it.
This one is my all time favorite though.
From the car show we checked out the crafts fair which was nice. Then we decided to drive around the lake.
It was a nice drive. there are some real cute little towns. We were going to stop in a a Brewery that we read about in the book, but when we got there it didn't look so great. Rob found one online that was back in Lakeside that really looked good. So we continued on around the lake back to our little home town. We stopped in at the Brewery Tamarack, but it was really crowded and I really wanted a glass of wine so I talked Rob into going to the little restaurant across the street from where we live. It is on the water with nice outdoor sitting. It's called The Dock.
It was nice. As t turned out, they had live music.
So we had dinner, a glass or two of wine and enjoyed the music. Then we went home.
Rob has a friend from the Air Force that he was stationed with in Holland. Lawrence has been living in Hawaii, has been on Military Furlough from American Airlines and Flying F-15s in the Air Force for the past 16 years. Anyway, Lawrence arrived in Kalispell this evening and came over to spend the evening with us. Funny thing, as it turns out, he (and his partners) own the Marina and Restaurant across the street where we ate dinner tonight.
He's getting ready to retire from the Air Force and then finish out his career at American as a senior First Officer. He flies back and fourth from LAX to Honolulu several times a month as his job for American. It's a sweet deal for him. We are going to let him stay in our Teton at LAX when he's on layover there.
It was a really nice evening. He is a really nice guy.
