Thursday, 25 Aug, Lakeside, MT

That bloody alarm went off at 3:45.  I laid there for a bit while Rob got ready then rolled myself and Bella out of bed. It's very dark at 4:00 in the morning.  I was somewhat lost as we drove to the airport.  I was really nervous the whole time watching for deer as well.  The speed limit here is 70 mph until you get into town.  A deer popping out when you're going that speed can do some pretty serious damage, if it doesn't kill you that is.
I figured it all out as I drove back home.  It's about a 30 min drive, at least at that time of day.  I am leaving on the 30th to join Rob in LA so it is good to know.
I came back home and looked at Facebook for a few minutes before curling up on the couch and going back to sleep.
The rest of the morning was a bit of a waste,  I just wasted time on the computer.
Finally about 1:30 I decided to go to Kalispell.  There were two reasons for the trip which actually turned into three.  First, I decided it was probably time to make a new kleenex tissue box cover.  The one I have on is from St Patrick's day.  I never finished the one for Easter, and never did the patriotic 4th of July one, so figured I better do one for September, for the fall.  I didn't have two of the colors I needed so I figured I would go into Kalispell and go to Michaels.
2nd, I needed to go to the Toyota dealer to get my air filter changed.  A notice pops up when I start my car.  There is no Lexus dealer in the area so Toyota will have to do.
When I got there he asked if it was the engine air filter.  I asked if I had more than one and he said I also have a cabin filter.  Hmmmm.  I said I don't know.  So I turned the car back on but it didn't say which.  So, we started with the Engine filter, but he said it looks brand new.  There is nothing wrong with it and it doesn't need to be changed.  Inside and through to the back of the glove compartment is another air filter which is for the cabin.  Interesting.  It is a charcoal filter and it also looked real good.  He tapped it on the ground and a bunch of ash, big chunks in fact, fell out.  He said you've driven through a fire.  Hmmmm! It was from our Lakeside fire.  The ash was falling on us during the first night and early the next morning from the fire.  Anyway, he tapped it out and put it back in as it didn't need to be replaced either. So, I went on my way.  The warning is still coming on, so I guess I'll have to wait until I find a Lexus dealership to deal with it.  The closest one to here is back in Spokane.  Been there and done that one!  (That's where I had my tires replaced)
From there I talked myself into finding the Bar-B-Q place that Rob, Jen and I went to last Thursday night.  I remember their ribs and brisket that R & J had being super good and I was suddenly craving them.  I figured what the heck, I'll go there, have a late lunch/early dinner and then go to the Thursday night Music in the park.
I was actually a little disappointed.  I think maybe when you are doing ribs it is better to have them at night when they have been cooking all day rather than earlier in the day.  It seemed like they had just put the sauce on rather than it cooking in it.  Anyway, I had a couple of them and then packed the rest of them up to take with me.  Now I have enough leftover ribs to last a week.  I still have ribs from Tamarack.  We (Bella and I) took our time at the restaurant.  We were sitting outside and it was very pleasant.  Plus, I was killing time for the Concert in the Park which doesn't start until 5. That was the 3rd reason for going into Kalispell.
We finished, packed it all up and then went to where I thought the event was going to take place.  It was a nice park, but the wrong one.  Bella got to run around for a few minutes, while I looked up on my phone where the event was really happening.  We drove over to the correct park and sure enough, they were setting up.  There were very few people there yet so I planted us at a table closest to the stage.  I waited patiently for the booze ticket table to open and then purchased my ticket for two glasses of wine.  Since it a large picnic table various people came and joined me.  First 3 nice ladies who liked Bella, but they weren't really in to the music so they didn't stay long, and then three other ladies, a husband, another man and then another couple who were friends with them.
This is the last night for the summer series.  But, they have some other music stuff going over the next weekends as well.
Anyway, the music was ok at first, but different artists were coming and going and if wasn't so great.  There were a lot of people there tho. Bella and I finally decided we were done.  It was probably only about 6:30.  So we came home.
I turned on the TV and started working on my September Kleenex box cover.  It is going to be ducks swimming in a pond with Pussy-willows.  There are a lot of them around here.
I worked on it until midnight before my eyes began crossing.  I took Bella out for a pee and we went to bed.
