Saturday, 3 Sept, Helena, Montana

It was a wee bit chilly when we got up and a little breezy.  But it was sunny and the sky at this point was clear.  It is supposed to get stormy over the next couple days with clouds moving in today and possible rain tonight and over the next couple days. So,
We decided today would be a good day for golf.  The plan was to go find a bike shop and ask about trails, and a visitor center to find out about other adventures around the area, and then go to the golf course for a 12:30 Tee time.
We drove by the Airport and noticed they had a statue of a Huey.  I miss flying those birds and had to take a picture.

We never did find the visitor center and it got to late to look for a bike shop so we just went to the golf course.  Fox Ridge Golf Course.
It was a nice course.  The area seems new and slowly developing.  There seem to be a couple of developments in the area that are just starting up so the houses are somewhat sporadic.

The hills in the back ground are nice.
They had some nice houses.  This is my favorite from the back.......
That garage door if for their golf cart
And Here is the front of the house.
Do you think this hole was designed to look like a parrot sitting on a perch or do you think it just worked out that way?
While we were golfing there was an ad on one of the benches for a seafood restaurant overlooking the marina on Canyon Ferry Lake.  The lake is formed by the Canyon Ferry Dam on the Missouri River.  We thought we would go check it out after golf.
So, we drove over there.  The place was a dive, but it was fun seeing the Missouri and checking out the lake.  We drove around it

it to the town of Townsend where we crossed the river and headed back to Helena.
We stopped in at Costco and the grocery store and then headed to the base and our RV.
When we got there and I opened the car door, Bella went running out after a doberman who was chasing a ball.  Thank goodness the Dobie likes little dogs and they made friends.
Here is our abode in its new surroundings.
We went inside put all our stuff away and then started trying to set up the mobil dish we got from Dish network.  While doing so we noticed the sky getting prettier and prettier as the sun was setting.

I was very tired so I went to bed.  The dish set up was still not complete.  Hmmm  Perhaps tomorrow!
