OK, so Bella and I got up as well. I worked on the blog, Rob worked on his Spanish, and Mom was looking at Facebook.
I showered and repacked all the crap I brought with me (about 2/3 of which I never wore) and Rob loaded up the car. Bella, of course, was glued to me.
We went up to the little store up the road to pick up a few items that mom needed and then returned to say our good byes to her and thank her for caring for Bella while we were gone.
We got on the road at about 9:30. The drive to LAX was pretty easy and uneventful. Just the way I like them.
We got to the Teton in the LAX parking lot and opened it all up. There was a delicious breeze blowing, so we let it blow through the rig.
We had done laundry (mostly Rob's stuff from LA) at Mom's house so he put his stuff away and repacked for what he needed back on the road. Then he went off to the cleaners. He was getting low on uniforms. I has sat in something in my pants so I took them off and washed the stuff out then hung them out the door to dry. So, I just chilled in my panties while he was gone.
It was finally time to head to the airport for our flight back to Salt Lake City. It is funny, as we were driving there I was trying to recall where the Seville was parked. Several RV parks popped into my head before I could narrow it down to "Oh Yeah, we are at Hill AFB and when we left there were broken branches and fallen trees everywhere from the storm we had had the night before.
The flight was wide open and Rob, Bella and I were able to sit in First Class. She is getting to be such a pro at this flying stuff. She likes to sit on my lap and look out the window while we are taxiing.
She gets all excited when she sees the little carts. Perhaps she thinks they are big squirrels. Then she lies down and sleeps until they bring us food at which time she must sit up and inspect and hope for tidbits. We had Salmon Cesar salads. The salmon was super fishy and she wanted nothing to do with it, so all she got was a couple of the slices of parmesan cheese.
Happily, the flight was quick and uneventful. It's only an hour and a half fight from LA to Salt Lake City. We found the car with no hassle. It was dirty and had been rained on, but what can I say, sitting in the airport parking lot for 11 days. And, it was $99. to get it out of there. Phew, at least we don't have to pay airfare on top of the parking fees.
It was a quick drive back to the Base and our sweet home on wheels. A nice surprise was that the Plumeria was finally in bloom. Poor thing, it is really off it's cycle. But it is pretty.
It still doesn't smell as good as the yellow ones do.
It was about 10:30 when we got to the Seville so we just threw all our stuff inside, brushed our teeth, took Boo out for a quick pee and went to bed.
Back to our Adventure!
