Sunday, 9 October, Durango, CO

Our plan for the day was to take Bella for a hike, perhaps check out the Octoberfest and then go to one of the Breweries for lunch, beers and the Raider game (the lunch and beers is why we aren't sure about the Octoberfest since they will also be serving food and beers).  
BUT! When we got up this morning and opened the door to take Bella out I discovered it was raining.  Oops!  Bella was a champ.  She boldly went out in the rain, squatted and peed.  Normally she hides under something.  She went back in and I put the chairs under the rig out of the rain and then Rob and I moved the bikes out of the rain as well.
Good thing.  The light rain turned into heavy, non-stop rain.
It is now 1:00 pm.  I have been working on the blog, we are doing laundry and watching the Steeler/Jets game on TV.  It has been raining hard the entire morning.
We are getting ready to go into Durango to watch the Raider game.
We stopped in and finished our laundry before leaving the park.
We found a parking spot real close to the Brewery where we were going to go.  Unfortunately, it was super crowded and loud in the brewery and it was very unpleasant.
When we were walking last night we went by a pizza place that advertised that they had Sunday Ticket and would have the games.  While I was sitting in a chair, and our name was on the 45 min waiting list at the Brewery, Rob walked down to the Pizza place.  He called me and said it was quiet, he had a table and they have the Raider game on, so come on down. So, we did.
It was a nice little place with some Denver Bronco Fans watching the Bronco game, some Cowboy fans watching their game and us, as well as a couple other people rooting for the Raiders.  We had some pizza and beer as we cheered and....it paid off!  They won.  

After the game we walked around the neighborhoods of Durango for a little while.  There is an especially cool street that has some really old, restored homes on it.  It is also a two way street with a strip of grass and trees down the center.  It was really pretty.  

Then, we ended up down by the river.

And then down by the train yard where many of the cars and engines are stored and worked on.

On the way there we came across an old red phone booth.  The call was for Rob

We ended up at the Depot as a train was coming in and then afterward they moved some of the trains around.

After checking out the trains we checked out Charlie Brown's Giant Pumpkin.

And, got a picture of Bella with her Boo sweater on.

And, as we were there, a beautiful rainbow popped out over a building.

We went back to the car and got back to the Rig just in time to watch the Obnoxious 2nd Presidential Debate.  

We went to bed afterward.
