We went out for our pee and then I decided I wanted to take pictures of the various casitas here in the park before the sun started to distort everything. So I went back and grabbed my phone.
First of all, I want to post this map of Los Barriles so you can see where we are.
I am the blue dot in the middle in the RV park. You can see we are only a couple blocks from the water. At the top is the arroyo and then just beyond it (off the map) is my favorite place, El Geckos beach restaurant and right next door to it is Playa Norte the RV park where we first stayed and where Chuck and Laurie still are.
So I wandered around this park. Most people have built casitas incorporating their RV into it. Some have flat out sold their RVs and built houses. Most are very cool and colorful.
This is where Bob and Kory are. They are not built out and only stay for about 4 months in the winters.
This is where Lisa and Nick are they are also only here for a couple months. They are from Fernie Canada, about an hour north of Whitefish, Montana.
This one is not built out, I just like their decorations.
This one is actually between the previous two pictures. They still have their RV included in the casita
Still has an RV, but the yellow one next door does not
Just a view down the road at what is coming
their dog attacked Bella and she hits her dog...not my friend
Across the street from the one above.
Next door to the mean dog hitter!
You can see the RV to the right in the pic above.
Also still has their RV
This one has the RV across the back!
This one is on a side street and is for sale. The RV has been gutted and remodeled and there is an amazing kitchen, living room and another bedroom, bath and storage. If I liked Mexico better I may be tempted!
The pool and hot tub area.
Our friends Nick and Lisa. He is the Marine (ocean) Pilot. They are heading out today for Todos Santos until Sat or Sunday. We are leaving Saturday so probably won't see them again. We really like them. We have exchanged info so maybe we can hook up again sometime in the future.
Safe Travels Friends!
It was 10:30 when I finally finished up with the blog. The sun is out, it has warmed up....perfect time to give Bella that bath. Somehow, she doesn't agree! But; she was a good sport and allowed a shampoo and a condition. Then I wrapped her in a warm towel and sot outside with her for a bit. when she was dry enough she sat in the sun.
I went to the pool and exposed my very white, fat belly to the sun for about 30 min. Hoping to sizzle-lean it. I only got a little color, rolled over and got a little lower back color.
I came back, grabbed a quick shower and then we headed out of town toward La Ribera looking for a place on the beach for a bite to eat. An hour and a half later we ended up back in Los Barriles at the Hotel Palmas de Cortez and Villas
We wandered through the lobby and out to the pool, but that restaurant wasn't open. So, he sent us down by the Villas to the Restaurant down there. It was really nice. On the water, cool breeze blowing.
Lots of kite surfers out again today and the wind was up
I had a really good spinach salad. I am really quite tired of Mexican food and looking forward to more healthy eating.
Unfortunately, I'm still quite hooked on Margaritas. I sat sat for quite some time enjoying the scenery and the margaritas.
It is interesting how they move boats down here in Mexico!
Then Bella and I decided to make our way back. It really is a pretty complex.
We headed back to the RV park via the road rather than the beach.
We sat out for a bit and visited with some of the Canadian neighbors.
Meanwhile, Rob finally made it to Kauai. He got to play some golf and get out of the snow.
You know he was happy about playing golf. We have not played since leaving the US.
