It is overcast again this morning. I sure do miss the blue skies of Calif. It seems like it has been over cast forever.
I thought about going to Brunswick or someplace today, but first of all there doesn't seem to be a lot going on there and second, it is Sunday. What does Sunday mean?? We'll tow things, crowds and football. The first I would prefer to avoid and the second I would like to partake in.
The Raiders played yesterday, and lost.
I flipped through the stations and the Cleveland Browns were playing. Normally I wouldn't care about the Browns but since I am in their neighborhood I figured I would root for them. As I continued to flip through the channels; however, I discovered that one of my favorite movies of all time was also playing....Secondhand Lion with Michale Cane and Robert Duvall. So, I watched it and during commercials flipped back to the game. The Browns weren't doing so well at first, but then they managed to pull it off and win. As Rob always says though, it is only Pre-season and it doesn't count.
I decided I needed to do something other than sit on my butt so I pulled out my plastic canvas.
I made a bookmarker. Cute, flower pot with flowers and a butterfly on top. Then I decided I would make a Halloween windsock. It involved a lot of counting and cutting.
I watched another movie on our new cable-type box and then went back to TV and another football came.
Bella started getting restless so we went out for a walk. This is a really big place and there is a trail that goes out into the woods so we did a big loop that included the trail.
Someone is very talented. These are rocks in someone's yard
We went back to the rig and I continued to count and cut.
I watched the news about all the flooding in Houston, and continued to count and cut.
Finally I was very tired and decided it was time to go to bed and my counting and cutting came out all screwed up. So, tomorrow I will have to start over again. Joy oh joy!

Saturday, 26 Aug; Rob's in San Diego, Cat is in Medina, OH
Bella and I slept in this morning. She tried to wake me up at one point, but I wasn't having anything to do with it so she gave up and crawled back under the covers.
I have no idea what time it was when we finally got up, but it was sunny and warm.
We went out for a potty and then came back in for coffee.
We finally decided to go out for a walk about. I wanted to go around the lake, which we did, and also see what this place is about. Oh My Goodness. This place is huge. There is a very large number of full-time or probably Seasonal. It snows here and am not sure if it is still open for the winter or if everyone has to leave in Oct.
At any rate, all around the perimeter there are full time people. They don't have beautiful build outs like we have at Rancho, but they do have some really nice outdoor spaces with fire pits, patios, decks, awnings, etc. Some of them are really nice. They also have fire wood stocked up, but it might just be for the spring and fall evenings.
At any rate, Bella and I decided to go for a nice walk. First we walked around the lake, and then we started following the side roads inside the camp grounds. My good ness, they went on forever. We even found a back road though the woods that no one was living on. As we wound our way around and eventually made it back to our site we had accumulated 55oo steps. Not to bad. There are a lot of people here now since it is a weekend. I would like to take the drone out on Monday and pop it up in the air and see if I can get some pictures of the lake and the rest of the place.
So, after our walk I took a nice shower and we loaded into the car to check out Medina. One of the things I was interested in finding was a fabric store.
We did go down town and fond the square. A Farmer's Market was ending and they were packing everything up. I was sorry to have missed that.
It is a nice park with shops and buildings on all 4 sides and the Market had set up in the park. I will still be here next Sat so I will have to be sure to get here earlier.
Any way, we walked around and took pictures initially.
Then we wandered around and checked out the shops. There were two shops of note. One was called, The Gardeners Cottage. The woman in there was really nice and loved Bella. She took picture of her to put on Facebook for her friends.. She had some fun Fall Seasonal things. I did purchase a cool Thanksgiving item. She told me that there was a cool dog friendly store around the corner, so we went to check it out. They had tons of home made doggie treats, but Bella doesn't seem to like anything. They tried to give her a couple tastes, but she wouldn't have anything to do with them. They had some cute things but Boo didn't care.
We drove on and found a JoAnn's store and I bought some fabric to make some shorts later in the week.
We stopped in at KFC and bought something for dinner and then went on home.
I am trying to give Bella something she will eat. She doesn't seem to be interested in Dog food of any sort. Last night I had some chicken and green beans added to my salad. I fixed her a little bowl of the beans and chicken and she gobbled it up. So, tonight I gave her a little bowl of the same. Ya know, if we are supposed to eat pure and organic I supposed it will be fine to do the same for her. I worry, since she is always with us, that she isn't getting enough to eat. She doesn't want to eat any of her food when we get home.
OK. So, I spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out the TV system we bought at the Airshow. As long as we have a decent internet signal we should never need Cable TV again. Right now we are trying to figure out all the ins and outs of the system. They sent me a manual via email, but almost immediately told me it was outdated and that changes had been made although they did not elaborate on what the changes are.
But, I have found the live Raiders vs Dalas Cowboys and so I am watching that and for the most part I am happy.
Rob is in San Diego tonight. He is getting together with his first officer and one of the flight attendants (I think) and watching the big fight tonight. Tomorrow he goes to Maui and I believe they are playing golf together tomorrow as well. That is nice.
After the game I went to Bed. Yippee and Go Raiders!!!

This building was not labeled so I don't actually know what it is.
This is a lovely church although I did not catch the name.
The central park and gazebo as well as the remnants of the Farmer's Market.
The courthouse!

Friday, 25 August, Medina, Ohio
OH My GOODNESS 4 am comes really early. I got a cup of coffee to go and stumbled into the car. I slept on and off to the airport. It is only about 30 min away.
After dropping Rob off I found a Starbucks and got another cup of coffee and a scone. I consumed them both on the way back to the rig. Bella slept in my lap on the way to the airport and then in the back seat on the way back home.
Once we got there we went directly back to bed. We slept until 9:30. It felt pretty good.
We got up and had some more coffee.
We walked around the park and then to the office. I had a package to pick up. We walked back.
The weather was odd. Warm then cold as the clouds came and went.
I spent the whole day sitting on my butt catching up the blog. And, guess what?! it is 11:12 pm and I just got all caught up. Now I can go to bed!

Thursday, 24 August; Canton Ohio
So today we have another mission. We are going to drive to Canton to go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
We had our coffee and went for a walk and then loaded into the car. I was driving because Rob needed to make some phone calls about some bills we had received.
Bella acted like she needed some water and when I went to get her little bowl attached to her leash I realized we didn't have her leash. I had gone back into the rig to get it and our sweat shirts. I grabbed the shirts and forgot her leash.
Arrgh. So, we stopped in at Petco and got her a new leash, bowl, and poop bags. OK, so now we are all set with two leashes. One more set and we can have one in each of the vehicles and one in the house. Jeez.
Ok. So we got to Canton. We didn't see a whole lot of it like we did Canton. It seemed like the Hall of Fame was just there on the side of the freeway. But, we went there with excited anticipation.

Naturally we were mostly interested in Raiders and some of the cool guys from the past. I did find some stuff on Payton Manning and my buddy Russel Wilson from the Seahawks.
The rest of the pictures are of Raiders
And, the various Super Bowl Rings. Wow are they gaudy. The one for this year is totally ridiculous. You would have to be a giant to be able to wear it.
It was fun to go through it, but not as much fun as the Rock n Roll hall of fame was. That was really something special
We left the Hall of Fame and headed back to the truck. It was about 5:00 when we got there and the truck actually was not finished. There were some things that they wanted to check out that they were not able to get to. So, we decided to leave it with them for the next week and a half.
Oh boy, that means that I get to get up in the wee hours tomorrow and go to the airport with Rob.
So, we went back to the house and got things squared away so things would be smooth for me while he is gone. He is such a sweet heart.
He went to be early. I stayed up a bit to long. I have been having a really hard time getting to sleep at night that I figured I would wait until I was really tired before going to bed.
I finally did.
Wednesday, 23 Aug; Pine Ridge to Pier Lon Ohio
We got up and right away we packed things up to hit the road. We have another long drive and Rob only has a couple days to spend in Ohio before he has to go off on two back to back trips.
It was to be a 3 hour and 40 minute drive, but it took more like 5. We got there around 2:15. We very quickly set things up and then left. There are two things that Rob wants to do here. One is go to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and the other is to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
So, off we went . First we went to a place near by and dropped the truck off. The transmission oil keeps overheating and it has been recommended that we get a transmission cooler added on to it. Rob found a place to take it before we left and made an appointment. He had all the parts he needs so should be able to work on it today and finish it up so we can pick it up by the end of the day tomorrow. So, we dropped it off and then headed to Cleveland.
Cleveland is pretty awesome. When we got there I started taking pictures of things we were passing and down side streets. We were on a mission, so couldn't really stop and take pictures.

It is a really cool looking town. And, it is on the lake and they have made nice areas down by the water for people to go and enjoy the sunsets or whatever.
We found the Rock N Roll Hall of fame and went through it. It was really amazing. Bella wasn't so thrilled because it was a bit loud. In fact, it started driving me crazy. Each area is playing music that goes with it's era and he music would overlap. We went through a couple floors. They give you an armband when you go in, so you can actually leave and then come back. That is what we chose to do. We were hungry so we left to go and get something to eat.
The Chicago Bear's stadium
The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
We went down to the water. It was nice down there.
We had a nice meal sitting out on the patio and then we went back to the Hall of Fame and went through the remaining floors until closing.
One of Elton John's stage outfits.
It was a pretty amazing place and really fun to go through. I am really glad that we were able to experience it.
We went home and went to bed.
