Sunday, 6 August, Cedar Lake, IN

It is dreary and overcast this morning.  I thought it was supposed to be sunny and I was planning on going to Notre Dame today.  I checked the weather and it said it was going to  start raining in 84 minutes.  Hmmm
I checked the forecast and it looks like Tuesday is when it is going to be sunny in South Bend.  So, what shall I do today.
In 84 minutes it did not start raining.  I watched a couple episodes of Chicago Fire and then put my basket on my bike, loaded up Bella and we decided to head out.  I wanted to see how many miles it was around the the lakes.  It is 3.4 miles to the Lighthouse from our rig.  We got to the other side of the lake further and at 4.4 miles Mom called me.  I pulled over and chatted with her for a bit.  She is doing well.  We had a fun chat.
Bella and I continued around the lake.  It turned out to be 7.4 miles from door to door around the lake.  I figured since I was already dressed and sweaty that I would go for a jog.  I came in to get my ear buds and found they were dead.  So, I plugged them in.  While I was waiting for them to charge I ate some cereal and watched another episode or two of Chicago Fire.  There were definitely some episodes that I missed while being on the road.
My ear buds finally gave me the green light so I kissed the Boo good bye and headed out.  I actually ran a whole 2 miles without stopping. 22 minutes which isn't bad for some one 2o lbs overweight, out of shape, and 62 years old. I turned around a the 2 mile point and walked for a half mile, then ran for a half and walked a bit, then ran then walked the rest of the way in.  It felt good to get out there and do something.
I chilled for a little while and then showered.
I had a late lunch, then watched more episodes of Chicago Fire before going to bed.
