We have no coffee maker in our little apartment. Rob has some instant from Starbucks, but we don't have any cream. So, we walked over to the little store just across the street from the complex.
On the way out (walking) we encountered a man working in his yard. We said "Good morning" to him in Spanish, but he answered us in English. I said to him, "Are you Mike?" He said yes I am, so I said Hi, Im Catherine and this is Rob. He was looking at us like, so, who the heck are you. So I told him I was CJ's sister. He's like Ohhhhhh. We chatted for a little bit. Chris had pointed out to us last night that Mike lives there.
So we went and got our coffee, which was very good, and then walked over to Chris (CJ) and Veronica's house.
Veronica is training for a Triathlon and was still out swimming with her team The girls were already gone to school and Gutie was still sleeping. Barb and CJ were up so we st and chatted with them.
Veronica came home and fixed us all breakfast which was delicious. Gutie was also up by then and joined us.
We sat around most of the day chatting.
Chris walked us down to the beach and introduced us to the security people so that we could go swimming and get back in. Then Rob and I went to our apartment to change.
We borrowed CJ's boogie boards and went down to the beach. There were fun waves so we had a ball riding them. CJ came down and swam with us, and after awhile Barbara, Veronica and Gutie came down and joined us. There is a little restaurant/bar down there by the pool, but for some reason it was closed. It had been open. Anyway, Veronica and Gutie went back to their house and grabbed beer and water and came back.
We had a very nice afternoon chatting and refreshing ourselves with drinks at the pool, which was also at the beach.
We went back and showered and then all went to dinner. Actually, it was, CJ, Veronica, Barbara, Gutie, Rob and I who went and then the girls joined us there. They had gone to get their nails done.
We went to this really fun Cowboy restaurant. The waiters were all dressed up as cowboy/cowgirls and at one point they all got together and did a couple line dances. It was really fun and the food was excellent. I had prawns, stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Oh my, sooooooo good. Rob had some sort of a stew made in a hot, stone, pestle. Really yummy.
We stayed there for awhile even after we finished dinner chatting and enjoying it. Then we came back and went to bed.
CJ had told us when he brought us to our apartment that often on the street below us there are parties.
Man oh man. The parties are people pulling over, opening their car doors, turning their radios up real loud an then standing around drinking. And there will be several cars on the street doing it. We were awakened several times durning the night by all this.
