After my coughing bout in the wee hours I went back to sleep and got up around 8:00.
Mom and I were going to go to the Movie at noon, but we didn't really get moving in time so we thought we would wait until the 3:15 show.
So, we had a little left over Chinese food.
We were reading and and watching the political programs, But when she started snoozing I switched it over to marathon NCIS. I kept coughing and coughing so Mom decided we shouldn't go to the movies.
So, she made my favorite dip and we ate chips and dip, had some wine and played a couple games of Rummy. We always play rummy when I visit. We played a couple games and then we decided to sit in the living room and check out what was happening with the Presidential election.
Oh My Goodness. We watched in shock as Trump started taking all the states according to the Electoral College. What??!! We listened to Scott Pelley and his group sound more and more shocked as they were reporting the outcome of the various states. Then as it started looking more and more like Trump was going to win they began talking about what that would mean for the American People and whether he could actually do some of the things he said he was going to do during his campaign.
We were very shocked and could not turn it off. We watched all the way up until the time that they announce that Hillary Clinton had called Trump to congratulate him on his win.
Wow. We definitely went to bed in shock.
