Sharon fixed us a really yummy frittata for breakfast. She is a really good Texan cook.
We sat around for a bit waiting for a contractor to arrive. She wants to have two bathrooms remodeled.
After he came and went we all drove over to Beaver Creek Ski area to go on a hike. Let me back up just a bit. Their house is at 8,000 Ft. The air is a bit thin up here.
So, we started on the hike bothered miles up hill. It was part road, part rocky path, part forest trail.
Difficult to say the least. I was surprised at the amount of snow that is still up here.

At about 2.7 miles I started to feel a little light headed and dizzy and had to rest. I am definitely not used to the altitude. Just past three miles I said I was done and Bella and I would wait while they continued on. Three miles was supposed to be the top. But, they said a little bit farther was a pond. Not only was it high altitude, but it was raining, then hailing, and thundering and really cold.
So, Sharon, Bella and I started back down while Jim and Rob went On up to the pond.
We met up again at the bottom on the restaurant’s deck for an adult beverage and a snack. Then we went on back to their house. We were all quite tired and sore.
The three of them soaked in the hot tub for a bit while I Got all the fixings for chicken pineapple k-bobs ready. We sat on the deck enjoying the view with our beverages before dinner.
After dinner we played a couple rounds of a domino/spades game that they like it was a bit crazy.
