34 years ago Rob went through Air Force Pilot training. He became very good friends with Jim and Sharon Aubuchon. He would study with Jim and have dinner with them every night. They have remained good friends ever since.
The Aubuchon’s live in Dallas, Texas, but also have a home in Edwards, Colorado, Eagle County.
So, we packed everything up this morning and headed to Edwards.
It was a five hour drive. The beginning was nothing to write home about, but it got prettier and prettier as we Got further into Colorado.
When we got close we gave them a call. They told us to wait for them at the horse stables and then they would lead us to where we needed to leave the truck and rig.
We followed them through their development to a RV storage yard, but just as we got there a security lady, who seemed to be in charge, caught up to us. She told us the yard was full, and realizing where Jim and Sharon lived told us we could park at the end of their street. So, we followed them back up and down and to their home and we parked at the end of their street. This made it so much more convenient for us.
Their home is beautiful and their view amazing. We sat on their deck enjoying the view, drinking way to much wine and caught up.
They made us a lovely dinner of Steaks and bake potatoes and it was a really nice evening.
