MONDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER 2020; GORMAN TO LONG BEACH

Bella and I got up at 6 am and went out for a little walk.  It is smokey and I can smell the fires. This place is really a dump.  There are long term renters here and they have crap all around their rigs.  It makes me appreciate the rules that they want to enforce back at the Ranch to keep the place up.

One of the texts I got yesterday while driving was from Pam.  First she said they had a friend who was interested in renting our lot long term starting in December.  Then she sent me another text saying she saw on face book that we were interested in selling our lot and said their friend was interested in buying it.  She wanted to give them our phon number.

Also, last night while sitting here Rob got a text from Tony who is currently renting our lot and said the guy directly across from us is interested in buying our lot.  Cool.

I spent the morning trying to get caught up on the blog.  It’s been long enough that I cant remember everything.  We aren’t in a hurry because it is only a 2 hour drive.  Since there were no spots open for us last night they will not be ready for us to move in until noon, so there is no point in us leaving before 10.

We took Bella out for a walk and then decided to hit the road.  It is already getting hot and it is still smokey, so lets go.  We packed up quickly and hit the road.

Right away we ran into a traffic jam.  Google on my phone announced that the road was closed two miles ahead.  It might have been, but it wasn’t it was just slow and go.  We got in and got settled by 1:30.  It was 102 on the highway, but was down to 86 when we got here.  Unfortunately it felt like it was about 80% humidity as well.  It was really hot while we were setting up.

We both took showers and then sat and cooled off for a bit.  Then we drove over to LAX.  The Titanium RV and Rob’s Prius are both parked there and we want to sell them.  We have pictures of the RV, but not the Prius.  They are both filthy from sitting in LAX for the past 6 months.  The Prius didn’t start so we had to jump it.  We took the Prius to the Airport so Rob could  pick up his scooter and some personal stuff from the Pilot’s room.  He rode his scooter back to the Titanium.  Then we took the Prius through a car wash and vacuumed it out.  Finally, after that we went to dinner.

We went to Calo’s Food and Tequila.  It was really good.  We sat outside which was very comfortable.  Rob had Rib eye steak tacos (that he built himself) and I had pork Chili Verde.  Yum Yum.

After dinner we returned to the RV park.  We watched some TV and chilled for the evening.
