WEDNESDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER 2020; Long Beach, CA TO PAHRUMP NV

 GOING HOME!

Wednesday, 16 September

We are finally going home.  I start getting tired of being in RV Parks. Most of the time they are somewhat cramped and often dirt. It’ll be nice to be home.

We sat out drinking coffee and then started packing up.  We were on the road just before 10am. Rob is heading directly home. But I am stopping by Pam and Craig’s in Rancho Cucamonga. They have my stained glass that Traci and Kevin gave them before they moved away.

It only took about an hour to get to Craig and Pam’s. She was just pulling in from the grocery store when I arrived so I helped her bring the groceries in.  They have a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood.  She showed me her garden and their wonderful fruit trees.  She was always giving me stuff from her garden when they’d come to the Ranch.  The dogs were happy to see each other again. And, Bella and I got to meet their cat. Beautiful long haired.  I sure miss our little YumYum.

I visited with them for awhile, grabbed the glass and hit the road.

It wasn’t a bad drive.  The beginning was all new to me. But when 210hit 15 I knew exactly where I was. Back in Rancho Cucamonga it was really smoky. It even smelled bad. It was clearer over by Hwy 15. It was hot, especially driving between Baker and Pahrump. It was 104 in Shoshone.  It was definitely hot when we got back to Pahrump.

I get to drive a bit faster than Rob gets to.  So I pulled in to the garage at home about 5 minutes after Rob arrived.

Bella seemed happy to be home again.  We spent the next couple hours cleaning the refrigerator in the house, unloading everything from the refrigerator in the RV and then cleaning the refrigerator in the RV. I absolutely do not want a repeat of the stinky disgusting RV in the Titanium. So I cleaned it really well and we left it open to make sure it was dry and couldn’t develop any mold.  We grabbed a couple more things we thought we’d need for the night.  Of course every time we locked it up and sat down with a glass of wine I’d think of something else, like my iPad, then my medication, then later my nightie.

Crazy!
