Monday, 11 September, Ft Drum, NY

Rob had to get up at 4 am.  He has a long day of flying just to get back to LA.  First he had to drive to Syracuse.  He almost hit a deer in the dark on the way.  In Syracuse he caught a flight to Chicago.  From Chicago he caught a flight to LA. Not only is the commute getting more difficult but the flights are getting longer as well. But, we are still enjoying the traveling so at this point he still feels it is worth it.
Me on the other hand slept in until 8.
I watched the news on my computer on NBC and saw everything I could on the Hurricane.  Man Irma is so crazy strong.  Bless the Mayor of Florida for his constant airing to all the people to evacuate.  He continued to iterate that this is the most powerful storm ever experienced by the country.  Don't mess around with it, get out, get out get out.  I think they were much more prepared for it than Texas was for Henry.  At any rate, I watched and read all that I could.  Then I worked on the blog and checked into Face book.
Finally, Bella and I went out for run.  There is a 5 mile loop called the Commando Trail that I told you about.  I thought I would run 2 miles and then walk the rest, but as it turned out I decided to power-walk it.  Normally I jog about 12 minute miles, but power-walking was only 2 minutes slower and it put less strain on my knees.  My lower back was feeling it by the end, but I still think it was a better work out.
After that I had all kinds of good intentions to go out and about, but non of them ever came to fruition.  I ended up taking a shower, and got back into the news and then into TV and a series on Netflix and that was that.
