Monday, 25 September; New Hampshire to Vermont and Back Again.

It was a nice morning here in New Hampshire. We are under a pine tree and a green leafy tree as well.  There are lots of chipmunks running around which is driving Bella crazy.  It was cool, temperature wise, so we sat outside for a bit while enjoying our coffee.
Finally I decided it was time to go.  The dilemma was Bella.  Do I drag her off with me on a 5 hour car ride or leave her with Rob.  He is also going to go off and go to the gym which will take him 2 hours.  It is a 30 min drive to the gym, an hour work out and then 30 min back.  That is why I decided i would go after my purse alone.  As it turned out, I took Bella with me.
I put the route into my phone and it was a different route than what we came out on.  It made me a bit nervous because I was afraid I was going the wrong way.  But I just kept telling myself to relax and enjoy the view.  It was a prettier way.
The trees closed in around the road.

I also went through the town of Barre which is cute.

 Several pretty churches!
 Cool looking buildings

 Nice parks with cool monuments
And pretty homes.
It did take 2.5 hours to get there.  I popped in and said "I'm the dummy who left my purse yesterday"  They handed it to me with out judgement.  Bella and I went into the campground.  I needed the potty and wanted to let her run around for a little bit before heading back.  She chased a couple squirrels and then we got back in the car.
We stopped at a park that had a food truck parked int he lot and got a cheese burger and some chicken tenders for her.  I let her run around a little bit more and then we headed back to New Hampshire.
Hmmm; I never saw a welcome to New Hampshire sign.  They must only be on the major highways!
Back on through the pretty covered roadways
Through the awesome Dairy farm country!
 Past the many pretty churches

and past the nurseries and produce markets.

I finally got back around 4:00.  It was hot.
Rob, very sweetly, had done the laundry, but it was too hot to fold it in the laundry room so when I got home there was a giant pile of clean clothes on the bed ready to be folded.  Yuk. He was there sorting it and was very apologetic about it. He was hoping to have it all done by the time I got back.  What a sweetie.  We folded it together and got it all put away.
It was hot and I didn't want to climb back in the car to go sight seeing, so we just settled into a movie.  And then the premier of Young Shelton.
Rob grilled some really yummy steaks to go with mashed potatoes and broccoli.  It was a great meal with a bit of champagne to go with it.
A vey nice ending to a marginally hectic day.
