Sunday, 24 September, Vermont to New Hampshire

We relaxed this morning with our coffee.  We only have a 2.5 hour drive this morning, which is nice, so we didn't think we needed to be in any big hurry.
Once we did get started it didn't take us all that long to get things buttoned up and on the road.
We left about 10:30.  We retraced some of the road we had already traveled, so I was looking more for color than anything else for awhile.

But there was also some new territory

I think it might be a little bit more colorful as we got closer to New Hampshire, but it was getting warmer as well.

They apparently have a lot of moose in the area because I kept seeing "moose crossing" signs.  I even saw one that said "break for moose, it's safer for both of you"  but I missed getting a picture of it.

The drive was pretty easy.  The speed limit is 70 in New Hampshire which would have made the journey quicker; but I was following Rob in the RV and he only goes a soft 60 mph.

Just as we were arriving at the KOA I realized, with horror, that I may have left my purse sitting on the picnic table back at our last site.  As I looked around in the car, at the places that I normally have it while driving, my fear was confirmed.
I called back to the North Beach Campground and told them I thought I had left it and sure enough some saint had turned it in.  One of my main fears was my Military ID.  What a pain it would be to replace it.
I asked them to check and see if my wallet was in it and they said yes, cash and everything.  Phew.
At first I thought I would turn around and go back, but then Rob said let's wait until tomorrow.  5 more hours of driving didn't sound especially appealing.
So I called them back and asked them to hold onto it.
It is a bit of a drag being on the East Coast during Football Season.  All the games are so much later here. At home the first game normally starts at 10am.  Here the first one starts at 1 pm  The two games I wanted to watch were Seahawks at 4:00 and the Raiders which didn't start until 8:30.
That is so much to late to stay awake for.
To make matters worse........they both lost.  Both teams got creamed.  So disappointing.  The Seahawks have lost 2 of their 3 games.  They were sooooo good last year and the year before.  The Raiders won their first 2 games, but sure fell apart last night.
