Lake of the Ozarks, MO
I slept in again this morning and it felt good. It is lovely here nestled in among the oak trees. We now have a view of the lake from our living room.
We paid bills then went to the laundry room and started that chore. We went for a walk around part of the lake. There are many tent camping spots right on the water. Very cool. They all have tall poles with hooks on them right near the table. They look like Shepard’s hooks and we think they are for hanging your lantern on. Good idea.
We made an appointment to take the RV in to get the wiring fixed. It will be tomorrow at 7:30am and we will continue on our journey from there. Hopefully it will not take to long and won’t be any major ordeal or expense. From there we will head to Ohio.
We checked on the laundry then went for a walk the other direction. There are several awesome cabins that you can rent. Each has a patio with patio furniture, table & chairs, a porch swing, bar-b-Q, and a fire pit. They look like they are pretty good size, probably at least 2 bedrooms or maybe even 3. Some look large enough for a couple of families vacationing together. Again, it is a lovely area.
We came back to our traveling home to wait for the laundry.
I continued to struggle with the website. Rob went down to the lake and rented a jet ski for an hour. I heard him come back so I ran down and took a couple of pictures of him.
When he got back I complained to him about my struggles with the stupid website and told him I wanted to see about adding a blog to it. He looked up how to create a blog and did it. It is really easy and user friendly (unlike the one I have been fighting with). So, he started up dating it. I emailed all the journal entries and he already had all the pictures so in one eve (as opposed to 5 days) it is now up and running and…… up to date.
Oh, I called Crossroads (they are the manufacturers of our Seville) they talked Rob through fixing the wiring. Everything is working quite well now. So, we will get up in the morning and pack up to hit the road. Next stop Dayton, Ohio, Wright-Patterson AF Base. It is awesome being able to stay at these Military bases (present location included). They are nice and ultra cheap with all the amenities we need.
Current temp here in Lake of the Ozarks….55°
Wow. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like an awesome time. I'm loving the travel log. -Noel
