El Cerrito is just a little foggy this AM. Bella and I went out for our quick little walk. From the Moran drive you can here BART zooming by and you can hear the fog horn from somewhere on the bay. I always love hearing the fog horn. I suppose I can do without listening to BART go by.
Anyway; I had to go to work today. It said it would take me an hour to get there, but It took an hour and a half, again. Poor Bella had to go with me again! Rob, Dave Tom, and Bloomie are going on a big road bike ride today and she would be locked in the rig. As it was, she was stuck with me.
I was the only one working in SPED at North Bay. It was kind of nice, except that no-one had informed any of the students that Mary would no longer be working with them and so she of them were calling for them. I worked on all the files. I established a file drawer for overflow files of our current students, files for our exited students, and files for students we had evaluated who didn't qualify. I shredded a drawer full of papers that were marked "shred" and then I started going through all our current files. I just wanted to clean things up. Remove duplicates, remove any IEPs that were prior to the last three, ensure ED/Psych reports were there, and stuff like that. I also wanted to figure out goals, because very few progress reports have been written and I am probably going to have to write them.
It was a productive day. I left about 4 pm
When we got back to El Cerrito Rob grab Rosie (Jim's dog) and I took Bella and we went for a nice walk. Poor Bella really needed it. Rosie is an animal. We were warned that she doesn't like skateboards, but she also does not like people sitting stationary on bicycles, fire trucks, ambulances or mail trucks.
Rob had a good day. I did talk Bloomie into doing the ride with Rob and Dave. I was pleased to learn that he did follow through. They met in Lafayette and left from there. They rode through Port Costa, across the Carquinez Bridge, over to Benicia, where they stopped and had scones and coffee at First Street Cafe. It's funny because Rob texted me and said he likes Benicia. this is funny because I used to live there in a former life, former marriage. From Benicia they went across the Benicia Bridge to Martinez, and then over to Lafayette. It was a total of 45 miles
This night we had a nice dinner with Sachi, Dana, Jim, Rob & I.
