I grabbed a shower and got ready to leave. I stowed away the rest of stuff that needed to be for our move. Rob got up and he started getting things ready as well.
8:00 I grabbed Bella (originally we decided she was going to go with Rob in the truck, but she got into my car and wouldn't get out) so, 8:00 she and I left in my car and went to the Lexus dealership in Santa Rosa. My "Maintenance Required" light has been on all week in my car so we made an appointment. Bella and I went off to it and left Rob to finish hooking up the RV.
While at the Lexus dealership I did a bunch of Pivot work and made a couple calls and got a good hour and a half worth of work done.
I hit the road at about 11:00 Rob was passing through Ukiah about that time. Bella and I made a couple stops along the way and caught up with him in Klamath River and 4:30.
It is a real pretty little spot along the Klamath River about 28 miles south of Crescent City along Hwy 101. I found Rob a little bit after he had settled into the spot. He was just hooking up the power and water. He had the sewer hooked up which is always a good thing. We put all the slides out, put stuff out that belongs out and then went for an exploring walk to stretch our legs. 5 hours in the car is way to long for poor little Bella, and me for that matter.
We met a nice man (Denis) and his Australian Shepard (Pearl) and chatted for a bit. We let the dogs play "Chase me Chase Me". He told us all about how they belong to Thousand Trails and really like their places and deals. He gave us a contact where we might be able to buy in cheap. He said they really like their parks. The Ranch (where we have been living for the past 5 years) was originally a Thousand Trails.
We wandered along a trail that went through what seemed to be thick forest (not really, just seemed like it). It is really thick with trees and ferns and other thick foliage. It led right back to where we are parked.
We set up our chairs and fire pit, grabbed some adult beverages and chilled. Chilled was a true story. We are close to the coast, and all day along our drive it has been overcast and sort of foggy. It is like that here. So, we bundled up and enjoyed it.
Some people pulled in right next to us with a Class A and another vehicle. They parked the RV and took off. They came back later and chatted with us. Their little dog's name is Lucy, Bella didn't want to make friends with Lucy tonight. They met at an RV rally in Quartzite, AZ. They have only been married a year and she just sold her RV las week. They were fun to chat with.
When I say they pulled in right next to us, I mean, RIGHT NEXT to us. I think there is only 5 feet between rigs here. This is the tightest park we have ever been in.
We stayed outside reading and computing, ate dinner, and enjoyed the eve.
Then went to bed. We are here until Sunday. I think we will enjoy it.
