Friday, 15 December. Kerrville, Tx and the area.

So we decided we needed to make the best of the situation.  The day was decent.  So, we decided we would go site seeing.  We pulled out the good ole Reader's Digest Scenic Drives and decided on the Hill Country Drive.  That is the name of this area.  

We went from Kerrville (#6) and drove to Bandera from there we went to Utopia.  Utopia is a very small little town and it is where the movie "7 days in Utopia" was filmed.  From there we went to Garner State Park and drove around a little bit.  Then we drove through Leakey and Vanderpool and finally to Lost Maples State Park.  There we went for a hike.

Wed went back through Kerrville and then on to Fredericksburg. It is a really cute little town.  We wandered around and did a little shopping.  Rob wasn't into the shopping so we decided just to find a place to eat and get out of there.  Perhaps I will come back later and continue with my shopping.

From there, since we were so close, we went to Luckenbach

, Tx..You know, "Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the Boys"....It turns out that it isn't a town, but rather a place.  It is basically a concert venue.  They have a bar,

a postoffice, 

a gift shop, bathrooms 

and a big outdoor stage.

It was really pretty cool place.  There was a trio playing music in the bar.  They were playing bluegrass and country music.  they were pretty good and all the people in the bar (except us)  seemed to know the lyrics to the songs.

It was a fun day.  We drove back to the RV watched a little TV and then went to bed.
