Thursday, 14 December; Kerrville, TX

So its not real cold, but not especially warm either.  it is overcast, but not supposed to rain.
We enjoyed our coffee and computer time. Then we decided to go and check things out.  We decided to go for a walk along the river and along the walk. First though we decided to take Bella and ourselves for a walk-about through the RV park.  It is very big with lots of mobil homes.  There are obviously a lot of people who are here full time. It smelled like breakfast in the park.  I was smelling bacon and I was smelling pancakes.  Needless to say, we decided to go get some breakfast.
We went downtown and had some yummy food.  Afterwards we walked Through the downtown area to the pavilion.  Along the way we came across a very cool statue of a Grate Dane. Bella wasn't anymore excited about the statue than she was about the real dog.
Pretty interesting difference is size!
Across the street was a pretty museum.  It is one of the original founder's home which is now a museum.  It was pretty on the outside and on the inside it is apparently is is all decorated and beautiful as well.
It doesn't open for a couple more hours though so perhaps we will come back.  In the meanwhile, we walked down to the pavilion which over-looks the river.  We could see the walking paths and playground on the other side of the river.
We walked back to the car to grab jackets and then headed down to the river.  There was a walkway across the water and it led into the woods.  The first thing we did was scare up a couple deer which Bella thought would be fun to chase.  She didn't go very far after them thank goodness.
We followed the trail through the woods and then headed back across the river.
Rob called D2 to see if they knew the status of the truck yet.  They said it might be the wiring or a computer, or both.  They needed another hour to track things down.
We decided to go explore. There is a lace called The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Gardens. The Coming ing Foundation is a non-profit foundation established in May of 2004 to create beautiful Sculpture Prayer Gardens across the United States and other countries, for the purpose of bringing honor and souls to Jesus Christ.  This particular one is on a hill top overlooking the town of Kerrville.  The focal point is called the Empty Cross.  I call it the open cross.  How can it be empty when just its shape represents so much?!

We didn't take a whole lot of pictures while we were up there.
Rob got a call from D2.  It was not good news.  there is some sort of computer that is no longer working and needs to be replaced, along with a couple other things that connect to it.  The bad news is they have to order the parts and they won't be here until next week.  And the really bad news is that it is going to be $4800.  This really sucks.  This God Damn truck.  We are soooooo stuck.  We have to have a truck to get home.  We would have to buy another truck and they are expensive unless we get a used one and that will put us right back to where we are now.  Argh!!!!
We wandered around some more and then back to town and back to the RV Park.  We went into the office to let her know we were going to have to stay until the end of next week and make sure it was going to be ok.  No-one is scheduled to come in so our spot is fine.  We paid and then went home.
We watched some tv, ate left overs and went to bed.
