Thursday, 21 2017 December, Kerrville

Did I tell you it was in the upper 70's yesterday?!  Well it was, and it was lovely running around in a short sleeve T-shirt.
Well, today is also warm.
I threw the laundry in and started in on cleaning.  I got it all done in time to take a shower and then head off to San Antonio to pick up Rob.  We left for San Antonio at 12:30.  It was 80 degrees when we got there. I picked him up and we headed over to Ft. Sam to the gym.
He told me on the way over that they were still waiting for the software on the truck and that it might not be ready until tomorrow.  Bummer!!!
Rob went to the Gym and Bella and I first went for a walk, but it was hot and HUMID!  Yuk So, we went over to the PX.  We wandered around for a bit in the Air Conditioning and then drove over to Military Clothing.  I wanted to get a long sleeve PT shirt (PT=Physical Training in Army Lingo).  Their PT uniform is black shorts with Yellow ARMY on one of the legs and then either long sleeve or short sleeve T-shirt that is also black and has ARMY in yellow across the chest.  I like the long sleeve tees and want one.  It worked out perfectly.  As I was heading back over to the gym Rob called and said he was ready to be picked up.
We originally thought about going over to a place called Enchanted Rocks and go explore, but shortly after I picked up Rob The truck guys called and said they could not get the part  that the truck needed to work, that the one they got was faulty and they were going to have to order another one.  It would not be in until next Wednesday due to Christmas being on Monday.  Soooo, the truck will not be ready until next Friday.  Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!  Another whole week stuck here.
Rob and I were both sooooo depressed about this.  We even called them back to see where the part was, we could go drive there and pick it up and maybe they could have it tomorrow instead of next week.  But, it is in Jacksonville, Florida. Oh My God.
I definitely do not feel like exploring.  I said forget it I just want to go back to the rig.
The idea of flying anywhere is ludicrous.  It is Christmas weekend and trying to fly would be a nightmare.  We talked about just driving back to Calif and then flying back when the truck is fixed and pull the rig back together.  But even that sounded dumb, doing the drive twice??!! So in the end we decided just to try to make the best of it.  At least we are together.
We got to Kerrville and decided to go to dinner.  We wanted Bar-B-Que but we ended up at a wine bar.  It turned out to be a nice place with good food, good wine, and good beer.  We had a nice meal and chat, but too much wine and beer.
Then we came home and watched TV and had more wine and beer.
Finally, we went to bed.
