Still cold, windy and rainy.
I got up about 7:30. I checked out email and then Facebook. Laura, Jack and Colleen's daughter, posted that Jack and Colleen were mandatorily evacuated due to the Lilac Fire and that Jack narrowly escaped his office. I started texting with Colleen. They are staying with Laura and Justin.
I talked with Rob and he said the fires in the Fallbrook area is horrible. He saw it flying into LA last night.
He is coming home (here) tonight. He has to fly into Atlanta and then fly into Savanna. I have to go and pick him up. I will be very glad when he is home.
We have decided that we are definitely heading back to Calif tomorrow. We now have reservations for Tallahassee, FL for tomorrow night and New Orleans for the next night. Our friend Bloomie may be in New Orleans so we may be able to get together with him. That would be really fun. Then we will head to Houston and visit with Aunt Maddie and Gene. That will also be fun. We had Thanksgiving with them last year. We will be in Seal Beach on the 16th. No plans yet after that.
Meanwhile, in preparation for our move I am cleaning and doing laundry again.
Oh my God what a night. Rob got into Atlanta at a decent hour only to have all the flights out of Atlanta cancelled due to weather. He started texting me to let me know the status of flights out to Savanna. It is an hour for me to get to the airport. In hind sight it was dumb for me to have taken Rob to the Airport. I wanted to have the truck because I wanted to go ride my bike in Port Royal and Savanna. As it turned out, it rained everyday and I didn't go anywhere. Now I get to go to the airport and pick him up. The only problem with that is now that it is getting later and later it is harder for me to stay awake and drive for an hour in the dark.
To make a very long story short, I got to the airport around 10:30 and sat in the Cell Phone lot for several hours waiting.
Even Bella couldn't stay awake. She was all tucked in her bed with blankets around her.
I finally picked him up and luckily he drove. We finally got home and to bed at 2 am. Yuk!
