4 - 10 JUNE LOCH LOMOND MARINA, SAN RAFAEL, CA

The blue dot in the picture below is our boat in the Loch Lomond Marina.  The red dot is where Tony and Holly live in San Rafae.

The next two days we spent visiting with Tony and Holly either off or on the boat.  We walked to their house and then Rob, Bella and I did a three mile hike from their house, up into the woods and back to the boat.  We also drove over to Ag’s house in Fairfield and did our laundry.  It’s a really nice place up in the woods.  We tried to find my house in Fairfax where I lived, but I couldn’t quite remember where it was.  Plus, we were in our Pick up with the dual tires in the back and it was super tight (not to mention scary) on those narrow, winding roads.

On Thursday we got up at 4:30 am and drove Rob to SFO.  He is flying to Michigan to visit his sister and attend our nephew Tommy’s wedding.  I have a sore throat which I’m afraid might be strep and related to my hand so decided not to go.  Plus I am concerned about it being a big hassle with Bella.  It’s a long flight and not really certain about how things will be for her when we get there.

Since I had the truck I did a little shopping, and did several hikes with Bella.  We went out to the end of the levy and back a couple times.  It was really super windy and the boat was really rocking and rolling.  There were several times when I just needed to get off the boat and be still.

Rob had a good time visiting with his sister and her family.  The wedding was nice and he enjoyed the whole event.

Sunday the 9th was still rocking and rolling.  I cleaned the entire boat in anticipation of Rob coming home and Tony and Holly coming by.  They did come by.  They brought cheese, crackers and nuts. I had crackers and tapenade   We had such a fun visit that they ended up staying for dinner;  I fixed us some yummy BLT sandwiches.

On Monday the 10th I had to leave at 9:10 to go pick up Rob and the airport.  When we got back to the boat and started getting it ready for our departure.  That evening Tony, Holly, Rob, Bella and I all went out to their favorite Mexican restaurant.  We consumed two pitchers of Margaritas and some yummy Mexican food.  They go there often, so the people were especially nice to us.
