FRIDAY, 31 JULY 2020; ANACORTES, WA

Friday, 31 July

We woke up to light rain.  Typical Pacific Northwest weather.  Overcast, drizzly and a slight breeze.
We have to move our RV to another spot today for our last night here.  We are moving just across the way.
We sat out and had our coffee and noticed that there is no stirring in the RV across the way in the where we are to move.  We looked at the rules and peeps don’t have to be out until noon so I figured this morning would be a good time to do laundry.
We gathered it all up and headed into town.  While it was washing I went to Rite Aid and then to Safeway. We returned and put the laundry in the dryer.  We figured it would be a good time to go move the RV.
When we got back to the park the people were just hooking up their Rv.  We told them we had to move into their spot.  They were moving to another spot for one night.  That’s so crazy how they do that.  They moved out so we moved in.  I helped Rob get it positioned and then I headed back to town and finished the laundry.
The brake indicator for the RV in the truck have been flashing “disconnected”. They were doing the same thing on the old truck, so we know it has something to do with either the RV cord or the RV itself and not the truck.  Rob called someone to see if they could come out and fix it.  He told Rob to go into the truck receptacle and bend it a little so that it makes better contact.  He said he sees that all the time and that is all it takes.  So Rob did that. When he got out of the truck after moving the RV he said now the brakes aren’t connecting at all.  GREAT!  So he put in a call to the man to see if he can come out today.
We were hoping to play golf today after finishing the laundry, but we need to be here and get those darn brakes fixed.
Rob put in a call to Curtis Stokes and he actually answered the phone. We figured it was going to be a big firm like the Dave Smith Dodge dealership, so we were surprised to be talking to him personally.  We told him what we wanted to do and what kind of boat we were thinking of and he listened and said he’s getting ready to go out of town and he was going to pass all our info onto one of his agents who would be in touch with us real soon.  Awesome....Another step forward.
We moved the RV And set back up minimally.  We are leaving again tomorrow.
We decided to go for a bike ride.  So we got on the Thompson trail and headed off the other direction.  It took us over a bridge that went over Fidalgo Bay and over toward the refineries. When We got to the end of the bridge I said now where should we go.  Another couple standing there said “Go Left.  You can go around the island and then take Texas Rd to come back. So, that’s what we did.
Marina across the way
Fidalgo RV Park

We rode around the island and then turned on to Texas Rd and had to climb a big hill to get back to the bridge. It was easy for me, but Rob had to work.
We went back to rig and retired for the evening.
