We got up and had our coffee. Then we finished packing things up for moving.
We took the rig to Tacoma and had it there just as they were opening the shop. They assured us they would have it done by the end of the day.
We went off to breakfast. We have a Tee Time, but it’s not for an hour and a half so breakfast is definitely in order.
We found a cute little place. They were fairly quick, but unfortunately their food was lousy.
Golf was fun. It was a nice course and we played with a nice Japanese couple. They were both very sweet. He was having issues with his sciatica and it got so bad and painful that after playing hole 10 they decided to play hole 18 and go back to the club house. We finished the round on our own.
After golf we went to JoAnn’s it’s been so long since I’d been in a JoAnn’s. I needed some strapping to fix Bella’s basket for my bike. The strap broke when we crashed and broke again when Rob tried to tie it together. I was tempted to look around for another project but Remembered I still have the cross stitch for the house in Pahrump with me and haven’t done a thing with it this whole trip. I need to get it done.
We decided we would go back to the shop and see how close the rig was to being finished. If it was still going to be a long time we would grab all the fixings for the paella and go back to the RV Park. I could start prepping everything at Darleen’s and then we could go back and get the rig when it was finished.
We were informed of two things while we were golfing. One, the brakes were totally shot. We needed pads, bearings, wires, everything. Whoever worked on them last really messed them up. So we needed complete new brakes on all 4 wheels. They’d still have it done today, but much more expensive. The other thing we learned was that our mail had been tracked down. It had been sent without postage. Eight dollars was due and it was at the post office waiting to be paid for and picked up. Oops!
So, back to the rig. When we got there we found out that the brakes were all finished, but they hadn’t gotten to the slide seals yet. Since they can do the seals at the park we decided we would take it now and when their materials came in they would come out to the park and replace the seals on all four slides. Yippee!
So we took the rig and went back to the RV park.
We got it all back in place and hooked it all back up. I did all my chores on the inside and then went to check on Darleen and Richard.
They came back to our place and visited with me while I started chopping and preparing things for the paella.
Rob went off to get the mail. He was gone quite a while and confessed later that he went by Anthony’s restaurant and got some of their peach ice cream. Oh my goodness I couldn’t believe he went there without me.
We all gathered at Mike and Marleens’ and started the paella.
The cooking it is as fun as the eating it. Once everything is in it takes about 20 minutes to cook all the fluid out. Then we cover it with foil and a towel and let it sit for another 10 minutes. It finishes steaming the rice.
Then it’s yummy done. I
It was pretty yummy. Darleen made a really nice green salad and Marleen made a delicious berry pie from the berries she picked here in the RV park. It was an awesome meal.

Rob had gone back to the RV to get been and while he was there he did all the dishes and cleaned everything up inside. What a sweet heart. We sat and visited for a while, but as usual it started to get chilly so we cleaned up and went in. When we got inside I was so suppressed to see what he had done.
