We walked down to a cool little restaurant called Endolyne Joes. It stands for end-of-the-line because it was the end of the Trolly line.
They redecorate and re-theme a couple times a year. Right now they are the Georgia Peach. Its all decorated that way and features items on the menu that are specialties of Georgia. It was really fun and the food was good.
We walked back and the started looking through old pictures of the McCrea Ranch which belonged to our Aunt and at one time was a very large portion of Idaho. We also went through all kinds of old pictures of all of us growing up as well as Ken's Mom and my Mom and our Uncle Bud as they were growing up.
This is Ken's Mom Dorie, Our Uncle Bud, Grandpa, and my Mom. Ken's Mom Dorie was he oldest, then Bud and then my Mom was the baby of the three.
Here they are all grown up. Grandma is also in this one.
This one is Grandma and Grandpa, Dorie & Art (Ken's Parents) Ken and his brother Dave (on my Mom's lap). My father is also in this picture (standing to the left of Grandpa) and the baby on my Grandma's lap is my sister Janet. My brother and I weren't born yet.
Any way, it was really fun going through all the old pictures
Here is my Mom in Dec 1944.
After looking at all the pictures we decided to go play a little golf. On the way to the course we went by this cool Totem Pole.
We found a fun little 9 hole walking course. It is designed to make golf fun. They Have two holes on the greens. One is twice as big as the other. We played that the first one to get up on the green got to decide which hole we would use. 7 of the 9 we used the correct size holes. Additionally, they have foot Golf. You kick a ball and then there is another really big hole off to one side of the green that you have to kick the ball into. The ball is the size of a volley ball, or soccer ball would probably be more accurate.
We played 9 and then Barb and I went in for an adult beverage while Ken and Rob played a few more holes. They joined us and we had lunch there at the course.
Ken and Barb are planning on returning with Braeden and Makenna for some foot golf, or maybe even real golf in the near future.
We had a great visit and laughed so hard. It was sad to have to say good bye, but unfortunately we did have to leave.
We stopped in at Camping World and then Home Depot on the way home.
We grilled a nice steak, corn on the cob and brussels sprouts.
Rob went to bed early as he has to get up early and go to work tomorrow. He flies from LAX to Washington DC and then lays over. It turns out is sister Katy, who is a pilot for Delta, is also flying into DC tomorrow and laying over. So, the two of them well be able to get together. Rob then flies back to LAX on Tuesday and then will join me in Sequim.
I stayed up awhile to work on the blog. There are crazy people all around me shooting off fireworks. It is a little unnerving.
I finally went to bed hoping they will quit real soon.
