We sat outside and drank our coffee which in itself was nice because it was warm enough for me to do. Then we went in to town. First we stopped in at a bike shop and talked to the man about good places to go ride.
Then we drove out to an RV resort that Rob had heard about. He is thinking we might extend our stay here and it is supposed to be nice and a little cheaper than where we are now. It was ok. It seemed really far out from town. I needed to use the bathroom so we stopped by theirs and the woman told me (somewhat rudely) that it wasn't a public restroom. Rob was very offended by her and decided we would not stay.
Then we went to the Visitor Center in Town and chatted with them about hiking trails and various things.
We are waiting for Ken and Barbara to arrive. They said they'd get there around noon and asked us to make a tee time for 2ish which we did, so we are exploring town while waiting to hear from them.
We went on a little like behind the town in the river park. The hike was nice and the river is beautiful, as are the surrounding.
mountains. A couple boys were jumping off a bridge into the river. Ken called us so we went and met them at their hotel and then went to a sausage place for Brats for lunch. They were yummy!
Ken is hysterical to play golf with. He has a son who nearly played professional baseball and Ken likes to emulate Tyler with his golf swing. Please observe!
The course really is lovely. It follows the Wenatchee River. I found a cabin on the river I would love to live in.
We could wave at all the floaters going by. Ken thought we needed a picture of us in front of our River home.
We had to stop play at one point because a mother deer and her fawn decided to frolic across the green
They were so cute, especially the fawn.
As we continued to play we came upon another complex that is really pretty and I think I could be happy living in.
Only problem with these is I think they are quadriplexes. All four balconies and patios have bar-b-qs. If they were duplexes that would be fine, but not quads. Well, I suppose it depends on what they look like inside.
We continued with our golf. Bella is quite comfortable with Barbara. They seem to have mutual affection.
We continued to play and the course continued to be quite lovely
And once again we were delayed, this time by twin fawns running around, no doubt, trying to find their mother.
After golf we came back out to our RV park and fixed Paella. We have a burner that sits on a tripod and the big pan fits on it so you can make it outside and gather around it as its cooking. It is so pretty. We made it with Italian sausage, scallops, shrimp and clams, plus green beans and snow peas. It turned out really, really good. I failed to take pictures, but Ken did and he said he would email a couple to me so I can post them here in the blog. You will have to check back for the update.!
Anyway, we had a really fun evening drinking beer, eating paella and laughing. Perfect ending to a great day!
