Monday, 16 October; Bedford, MA

Boy is it ever cold today;  much colder than it has been.  I took Bella out and was surprised that there wasn't any frost because it sure felt like there should have been.
My plan for the day was to call Lexus to set up an appointment to bring my car in for service and to do laundry. While I was waiting for Lexus to open Anne texted and said she had cancelled her midday appointment and did we want to get together and go for a walk.  I said sure.  Then she said we could meet for lunch and then walk.  Awesome.
I got in touch with Lexus and set up an appointment for tomorrow morning.  Then I got a shower and set off to meet Anne in Lexington.  We had lunch in a really yummy Chinese Restaurant in central Lexington.  It was delicious.  Rob called just as we were finishing up.  He was in Portland waiting for the nice people to get on.  He was originally scheduled to go from Portland back to San Diego where he was to spend the night, but instead the company was sending him to Boston.  How cool is that!! So, he is scheduled to get in at 7:30 and is staying at the Marriott and then will leave in the morning so I get to go and meet him and spend the night.
After lunch Anne and I walked around town and out to the Minuteman statue, battleground etc.

It was nice.  Then we jumped on the bike/walking trail and headed out.  It was fairly busy for midday on a Monday.  We found an off-shoot trail that we took.  It wasn't very long and it led us back to the main trail.  We jumped back on it and headed back to our cars.  Damn!  I got a parking ticket.  I was probably only 5 minutes late.  Oh well at least it is only $10.00 and not the $210. like my speeding ticket was.
We said our good byes and headed off to our respective homes.
I got home and played on the computer for a bit.  I laid down to take a nap because I was so tired and sleepy from this cold, but my legs were restless and I couldn't sleep.  So, I changed my clothes into something I could wear the rest of this eve and tomorrow when I hang out with Anne and then at 7 pm I headed into Chelsea to meet Rob.
The sun was going down and it was a pretty sunset.

The nice people at the hotel let me check into his room before he got there.  Wow;  it was a really nice suite with a kitchen, sitting area and lovely bathroom.  I put my stuff in, texted Rob and went down stairs for a glass of wine.  I brought it back up to the room and called my Mom.  We had a nice chat while waiting for Rob.
He came in, changed clothes and then we went down stairs.  We sat in their nice bar/dining room and had a great Greek salad.  His first officer joined us and we had a nice evening before retiring to bed.  It was really nice that we were able to rendezvous that way.
