It was sunny and beautiful when we got up. So we decided to go for a hike. Actually we had talked about doing it and this morning we are going to.
Just past Rick's house the trail gets very rocky and then much narrower as it goes up to the top.
Looking back at our beach is fun
And the view out over the bay is awesome as well. That is the island we paddled around yesterday.
It really is amazingly pretty and relaxing. (remember the island above Lori's head for a later story)
Molly especially liked it.
More pretty views. (Remember those row of little rocks in the water for a later story.)
The water was so pretty from up here.
Off in the distance we could see a village along the water and also a big tower that were were trying to decide if it was for an airport or a prison. Rob and I decided we were going to ride our bikes over it to check it out.
It turned out to be a tower included in a Bed n Breakfast. We talked to the owner and he gave us a tour. There are 4 little cottages, a breakfast building and the tower.
The individual cottages are two bedroom
Living area
and Bathroom
They had a nice patio and pool as well.
The tower was a single. Down stairs was a sitting area, then up one floor was a bed; up the next was a sitting room with table and at the top was a large area to enjoy the view.
From the tower you could look down on the complex
As well as a view down the beaches
It was a pretty cool place and they charged $165./night.
We decided to ride on and go explore the village.
There were these very funky places that were just a room and a bathroom.
But they were only $10. per night. You had unlimited non potable water, and electricity for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the eve. You pulled your rig up right next to them. We talked to some people and they love it there. I thought it was gloomy.
There were also some very cool places. These people obviously stay here long-term
It was a fun ride. We went back to camp and spent the rest of the day on the beach.
