Thursday, 23 February; Guerrero Negro to San Quitin

Today is a long journey day from Guerrero Negro to San Quitin so, we got up early and packed everything up.  Chuck & Laurie; John & Lori and Rob and I are continuing north while Jennifer, Nickalee and Jacob are heading south.
We said good bye a hundred times and gave fifty hugs and finally hit the road.

It was a long but pretty drive.  They have receive a lot of rain in this area as well as further north and things are still somewhat wet.
Just north of Guerrero Negro is the border separating Northern Baja from Southern Baja.

And our destination is:
San Quitin; 407 km---and look how close to the border of the US.  But, we are not going to Tijuana.

You can see that the water has caused many flowers to bloom along the way.  Some of it was really pretty.
You can also see how the roads are.  There were some very deep pot holes that although we tried to miss, we never seemed to manage it very well.

We finally arrived in San Quitin in the late after noon.  We pulled into a beach park that was super cheap, like $ 5.oo.  We had full hookups, but the water was salty.  We are only spending the night, so we didn't even unhook from the truck.  It was super cold and windy and I was hating it.
But then we took the dogs and all went over the sand dune and onto the beach.  There it was awesome.  We collected Sand Dollars.  I haven't seen them on a beach in ages.  Both Lori & Laurie collected them for their grand kids.  I just collected them to put in the Teton (if they make it back with out breaking)
We ate dinner in our own rigs and went to bed early.  It was to cold and windy for anything else.
