Our bed in the Teton is so comfortable. The Teton is parked in one of the employee parking lots at LAX. There are a qazillion street lights lighting up the lot, so light floods into the rig. So, we close all the shades in the bedroom and it stays pretty dark in there. It is amazing how much the Teton is so much better built and insulated so when all the windows are closed you don't hear the airplanes flying over as much as we do in the Seville. Anyway
We left the rig at 8:30 to go to the dentist in Long Beach. Dr. Kim is working me into his schedule at 9:30, so I figure if I get there at 9 I might get worked in sooner.
They took new x rays of my jaws and teeth. Then he came in and looked at the x-rays and stuck his hand in my mouth (which hurt like a son-of a gun) and said OK. the joints look good. It is making some noise, but the joint in the x-ray looks good. The fact that I am missing teeth on the bottom has taken away the support needed for the TMJs. Grinding and clenching at night is adding stress and inflammation and, stress itself is playing havoc. Although we are having a really
good time on our RVing adventure, it is causing a bit of stress.
Dr. Kim said I need a night guard and he also prescribed a muscle relaxer to take at night. Hopefully it will take the clenching away. We'll see.
So from Long Beach I went back to Seal Beach to Dr Mehta. He looked at my stitches which look real good, and took the impression for a night guard. I need to get a temporary for the two teeth that are missing on the bottom. That is what I need to support my jaw. But I have to wait until the stitches are out and all the swelling is gone for them to do an impression. So, I'll come back in a couple weeks and get the stitches out, get an impression for the temps and pick up the night guard.
Since I was in Seal Beach I went to my favorite Sushi restaurant and had lunch. For $10 I get soup, salad, and 3 tempura shrimp had rolls.
From there we drove to Fresno. The drive was easy although for some reason I was really sleepy. I stopped at Brovo Farms which is what I generally do on my way up. They've made a ton of changes. New walk way all the way along the front, paved the parking lont on the side and completely remodeled the bathrooms.
But inside was pretty much the same. I asked if they had new owners and they told me the owners had transferred the property to his son and the son is doings some improvements.
The bathrooms had to be redone due to a fire back in Dec. It all looks greatly.
I bought some wine, cheses and crackers.
Mom was very happy to see us. And we to see her. We had some wine and caught up. then we ordered pizza and continued with our catchup. then it was bed time.
