Tuesday, 21 February; San Ignacio (Rice & Beans) to Guerrero Negro (Mario's)

Since we didn't really unpack anything last night there wasn't much to packing up.  We had our coffee, went in and got a bite to eat at the restaurant.  It is only about a 2 hour drive today, so we weren't too excited about getting an early start, but, the sooner we get there the more time we have to explore.
It was a pretty drive, but again, the pictures I lost were of today's adventure as well.
Mario's is an easy pull-though set up.  So, we just pulled in, parked, hooked up and set everything up.
Lori and John needed fuel, so they went into town for that.  Chuck, Laurie, Rob and I went through town to explore, the light house.  Guerrero Negro is an industry town.  No tourist stuff, strictly business.  This is where salt comes from.  They ship it to the US, China, and various other countries.

The lighthouse is no longer operational, but It seems that someone does live in a couple shacks around it.

Another industry out here is fishing and clamming.
There were several boats parked out here and then we watched one come in.
A guy got out and drove his pick up truck right out into the water to unload the boat.  They had big net bags and it sounded like clams, but we weren't sure.
When they brought the truck back up we went to it and asked what they had.  Chocolate Clams they showed us.
Look how big they are!  They ended up giving us about 15 of them.
It was pretty cool out there.  Jen called while we were there and said she had just arrived at Mario' so we headed back.
It was good to see her and Leila finally and to meet her friend Nickalee and her dog Hank.  Bella is heartbroken though because Tucker is suddenly totally infatuated with Hand and isn't having anything to do with her.
While we waited for Jen to get situated we figured out where we were going to set up our sitting and fire rings for the afternoon cocktails and evening fire.  It didn't take us long.  It was, unfortunately a bit windy and somewhat chilly, but we had a nice cocktail and unwind hour. It was nice to be "all" together and not have to worry anymore about when and where we were going to meet up with Jen.
The special in the restaurant tonight is Lobster Tails.  Yum.  So, we all went in for dinner.  It was a nice dinner and nice evening.
It was really to cold and windy for me after dinner, so I went in and went to bed.  Apparently Jen, Nickalee, Laurie and some of them stayed up.
