Tomorrow is the 4th of July. I wonder if there will be fireworks in the area and where. Most normal 4th of July activities, parades, festivals, etc. have been cancelled due to the pandemic. You never know what traditions are when you get to a new place anyway.
We lazed a bit this morning. It is a nice sunny day so we sat outside. We don't really have plans for the day. The only set plans are for Sunday. We are going to go on a half day horseback ride with lunch. Things we like to do at each new place is mountain bike, golf, hike, and explore. Rob doesn't like taking me mountain biking unless he has been able to check out the trail first so, that is the plan. He goes off and goes mountain biking to check it out and I stay back and catch up on the blog.
I thought I might do some laundry, but the facility here is closed. I did discover there is a laundromat here in Lolo about 5 miles away, so I might go off and do that.
Rob came back pretty excited about the ride he went on. He thought it was gorgeous and that I would really like it. He took some really nice pictures.

He grabbed something to eat and then a shower. We drove into Lolo and found the laundromat. There were a couple people in there finishing up when we arrived so we masked up. While the clothes were washing we went for a walk and found Lolo Lake. Im sure its normally a nice lake, but right now the cottonwood trees are shedding and the cotton is all over the surface of the lake which gives it a polluted appearance.
It is funny being here because everything seems delayed. When we were in Sedona in May the cottonwoods were shedding. In fact, we played golf one day and it looked like it was snowing. When we went back to Sedona in June they were done. The snow of top of the hills around here seems odd for this time of year as well. And finally, when we lived in Tahoe the "Cheeseburger" birds (chickadees) came out in March calling out for mates. If you still heard them in June you felt bad for them because you would hear one call out, but there would be no answer, meaning everyone had already mated up and here was a loner. Here we are hearing them everyday and the cottonwoods are making it look like it's snowing and its July.
We remained in the laundromat while our clothes were drying because we were the only ones there.
After laundry we stopped at a liquor & wine store as Rob was hoping for some craft beers. Guess what?! They don't sell beer in a liquor & wine store. He went next door and bought Bitterroot Brewing Company beer. It's called Dirt Church IPA and each can has a picture of a different outdoorsman; running, hiking, biking, rock climbing, even yoga. They are really cool graphics. The beer wasn't to bad either.
It was a really nice evening so we sat outside until about 8pm. The RV park is really filling up. I guess for the 4th of July weekend, although I don't know what people are going to do here.
We watched a cool show on the beginnings of mountain biking which took place in Marin County, Mill Valley and Mt Tam. Then we watched a couple episodes of Yellowstone. It was 11 pm when we went to bed and it was actually dark enough that it required a flashlight when I took Bella out to go potty.
Just as we got ready to go to bed a firework went off. It started with a long loud hum and then a big bang. It scared the bejesus out of Bella. She went running and hid under the table trembling. I had to drag her out. Just as I was trying to get her back to bed a second one went off. The only way I could calm her down was for us both to get in bed and stuff her under the covers. She pressed herself up against me and stayed. I had trouble sleeping. It got hot. Bella was panting, but she would not get up to go get water. She just stayed pinned to me. Poor thing.
