It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the front is an open mouth with jagged teeth on top and bottom.
And here is the beauty in all its glory.
We ate a snack and Rob took a nap. We have lots of wildlife who like to visit. Especially deer!
We also have a “rafter” of turkeys who come visit. There are adult females and about 9 young ones. They are pretty cool.
After lunch a naps Rob went down for a paddle. I stayed back and read.
The man, Pam worked with at a Chevron dealership in Southern California for many years. Her niece also worked there with them and so they are having a mini reunion. The man’s wife Jan is really sweet and friendly. They just bought this property. It is along the highway and right next to the railroad tracks which is sort of a drag, but they have 84 acres, mostly forest, but they have a small orchard of Cherries and apples, two pastures and a huge barn. They have 9 Shetland ponies and two regular horses. Their property butts up against forest service property and beyond that is 100 acres owned by their good friends. So, they have miles and miles of trail s and property to ride. So very cool. Jan works in Spokane for Fedx at the airport. She has an hour and 15 min commute each way daily. She is into crafts and has an awesome crafts room up in the loft of their house.
Some of her friends from Fedx showed up while we were there. They were on 6 motorcycles and were doing the Whitefish-Sandpoint triangle. They stopped in for a visit.
Pam’s niece, with her husband, two sons and the oldest son’s girlfriend came as well. They have property in northern Idaho about an hour north. They were really nice. The husband was interested in buying out truck that we left with Lawrence in Kalispell. I don’t think I’ll hold my breath though.
After a nice visit we headed into Sandpoint where Craig treated us all to ice cream. Then we headed back to the RV Park.
Here is the interior of our new truck, looking at the dash and the Nav screen. Bella likes her new truck.

We wandered down to the lake again and had a beer while enjoying the view. We found out that the guy the Sheriff was looking for is the RV Park owner’s son. Not sure what they were chasing him for, but he is on and now in violation of probation and when picked up it’ll be his third strike and he will be sent away for quite some time. He apparently used to live in the house where the gal is now living. She was pretty freaked out about having the Sheriff all pull their weapons on her and order her about.
We went back to our rig and grilled a salmon for dinner. It was pretty good. We were supposed to go back down for camp fire and s’mores, but I was kind of tired and well into my book. Rob did go down and had a nice time. Craig built another really nice fire and the sunset was quite lovely as well.
