This morning we met Phyllis and Lee at Buffalo Hills Golf Course. It is their home course where they are members. We played it when we were here 4 years ago.
On our way to the truck to go to the golf course I had an ugly exchange with another camper here in the park. I am really saddened by the people around us. On both sides of us are people with dogs. In front of us they are a couple a little older than us. When they are here their Australian Shepard is either in a small caged area about 3 feet square (with its leash attached) or she is walking it with a leach and face harness and yanking it, or sadder still, it is locked in their small RV while they are off riding their Harley all day and it is crying and howling.
On the back side of us they have two dogs that are locked in their small RV while they are gone all day long and both of them are crying, howling and barking. It breaks my heart.
Additionally, there is an RV that has two little white dogs and the two ladies that walk them have them on tight collars and leads and are either yanking on them or the poor dogs are walking on their hind legs because they are being pulled up off of their front legs by their throats.
This morning while getting ready to go, this other man is walking his Australian Shepard, only he's not walking it, he's jerking it off its feet. I knew if we (Bella and I) went out it would upset the dog even more and the guy would yank it further, so we tried to wait. But, it was time for us to go. We were going to the truck which was parked by the dumpster, which was where the man and his dog were headed.
Well, as we started to pass each other he yanked on it a couple more times and I said, "oh that is so hard on their throats and cords." he said thank you, mind your own business, not nice, I said there are better ways to train them without hurting them; he called me a bitch, i told him to stop abusing his dog, it was ugly and unnecessary, i'm sure, but I HATE people who are neglectful or abusive to their animals.
It bothered me all the drive to the golf course.
We met up with Phyllis and Lee for golf. Rob went off and hit a small bucket while Lee did something and Phyllis and I chatted.
And wildlife. There were a gazillion geese, some with babies or adolescents. Something landed near by and I knew it wasn't a goose, but wasn't sure what it was. Upon further investigation I discovered it was a wild turkey. Later we came upon a Tom, a female and a couple babies.
I also saw an osprey flying around which was really cool.
After golf we decided to have lunch on the patio there at the course.
We sat out at a corner table and enjoyed a Brisket sandwich and Cobb salad which we shared. We sat out there for a while visiting before saying our good byes.

After saying goodbye we returned to Whitefish. We spent the rest of the afternoon emptying out the truck. We will go on Monday to Coeur d' Alene to pick up the new truck and then take this one to Lawrence so he can, hopefully, sell it for us.
We spent a quiet evening afterwards just reading until bed time.
It was a lovely sunny, warm day. I hope our remaining time here is also sunny and warm.
Oh, our friends from the ranch are now in Salt Lake City for the night. The refrigerator in the RV they have borrowed from a friend for the trip had quit. They contacted a mobile Rv Repair there in Salt Lake, so hopefully they can get it fixed.
