TUESDAY, 21 JULY 2020; SANDPOINT TO COEUR D’ALENE

Tuesday; 21 July

We are moving on to Coeur d’Alene today, but it is only about an hour and a half drive from here so we aren’t in a big hurry.  We cannot check in until 1:00 usually.
The drive was easy and we didn’t have to wait long to check in.  We are at Blackwell RV Park which is on the Spokane River just before it reaches Coeur D’ Alene Lake.  It is a really big park.  Not to bad, decent space.  Not quite enough trees though.  We are in a good space with shade, but Craig and Pam are not, so we told them just to come down to our place with the dogs and all and enjoy our shade and fenced in space.
There is a dog beach and a people beach so we all went for a walk.  The dog beach didn’t seem to have easy access (not that any of our 4 dogs are into swimming).  I walked around the corner to see if there was more access and I made a very cool discovery......a gnome house!

How fun is that??!!!
Further around the corner two ladies and their dog were enjoying a private little shady beach.
The dog was especially having a good time and was very sweet and friendly.
After our walk to the beach I drove into town.  I went to JoAnns.  First time I’ve been in a JoAnns since January.  I needed some sew on velcro for the Jeep.  It has a soft top with windows that first zip on, then tuck in under a ridge below the window and then there is a strip that closes in the door.  The problem is that it doesn’t stay closed in and while driving down the freeway it slides out and then then wind blows between the covering and the car and its really loud and breezy.  I tried using stick on Velcro.  It stuck to the metal just fine, but does not stick to the soft-top fabric.  I am hoping that maybe the sew-on kind can be glued on with the glue gun.  We’ll see.
I also went to KFC and bought chicken tenders, biscuits, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, and Mac n cheese.
I brought all my goodies back to the house.  Rob and Craig went for a bike ride while I was gone.  Their goal was to find the Coeur d’ Alene Country Club and to find the floating 17th green.  It is out in the water near by.  They were not back yet when I got back so I texted him and told him I had dinner.  He called me a few minutes later and said Craig had a blow out and would I please come and get them at City Beach.  Oh My, that meant I had to drive the new truck.
I was very nervous about driving the truck.  First, I almost had to call him back.  The mirrors were folded in and at first I couldn’t figure out how to get them to go out.  Then I found the magic button.  Rob sent me the address where it was and when I plugged my phone in the nav system in the truck stole the map off my phone and I couldn’t get either one of them to tell me where to go.  The truck also has a ton of power and a lot of get-up-and-go.  But I made it.  I finally figured out how to get to them and picked them up and brought them back to the RV park.
Rob and I sat outside and ate.
Craig and Pam came by later for a cocktail before bed.
