SUNDAY, 19 JULY 2020 , SANDPOINT, ID

Sunday, 19 July, Sandpoint, I’d

Blue skies and sunshine this morning. Hopefully another lovely day.
I gathered up the laundry first thing this morning and Rob helped me load it into the Jeep.
Then we went on a long walk. This time we found a loop off of the roads we have been walking. It was a rough gravely road that Bella and I didn’t really enjoy. There were a lot of lots for sale on it.  They look to be pretty good size lots.  They all share a common lake front access with a dock and pier. That’s pretty cool.
On the way back we stopped in at Craig and Pam’s for a few minutes.  He and Rob are going to go play golf and Bella and I are going to go into town and do laundry. I also want to go back
to a shop and get a t-shirt that I saw and liked.
We went back to the rig to get the truck and Rob’s clubs.  I followed to get Craig and his clubs then followed them as far as the golf course.
I found a laundromat in town.  They had really big machines and I was able to pay with dollars to buy a card that you use in the machines rather than having to feed quarters into it.
The laundry went pretty fast. I was able to wash everything at once and then I was able to dry everything at once.  The bad part is that I then had to fold the whole huge pile at once. Oh well it’s done for another week.
I went off looking for something to eat and a good cell signal. I was 4 days behind on the blog and there is virtually no signal at the Rv Park.
We looked for a restaurant down by the water for lunch but nothing was open.  Dinner only. So I ended up going to Taco Bell and then we found a park in town and ate.  Bella liked the park. While I was walking around down town I came upon a statue.  I have been wondering who David Thompson is. It is his wildlife preserve all around us and all the “Please don’t feed the Deer” signs have his name in them. Well, the mystery has been solved. I found a statue of him.

I did get all caught up on the blog.  Back at the park I couldn’t even transfer pictures off my phone onto my iPad.
I got back to the RV Park at about 3:30 just before Rob and Craig got back.

Apparently it was a pretty tough Golf course, as both Craig and Rob complained that it kicked their butts rather than being able to master it. They both thought it was a pretty course though.

I put the laundry away and Rob grabbed a bite to eat and then we went down to the lake for a paddle.  The water was lovely and calm. We went along the shore the opposite direction as before.  We went past the Beyond Hope campground which was bustling.  They have a beach and volleyball and a small marina.  We paddled past it and along some really beautiful homes and a really nice forested campground.  Then we returned.  I did tried to stand up to paddle a couple times, but I was so wobbly I sat back down.  I really need to work on my balance.  It’s awful.
We built a fire and roasted marshmallows and built s’mores.  Ya know I’ve never really liked s’mores. I think just the roasted marshmallows are enough.  They taste the best.
The sunset was amazing and Rob caught a couple really nice shots of it.

It was a really lovely evening
