Wednesday, 18 Jan; Playa de Norte RV park, Los Barriles

It was a lovely morning.  Still at first, but then the wind came up.  That was good for all the kite-surfers   This is the Lord of the Winds festival and competition starting today through Sunday.
We visited a bit with John and Lori and other people who came around.
Mostly though, I worked on the blog all day.
Rob went off for a bike ride.

He enjoyed it quite a bit.
The wind came up and the competition started.  It was fun watching them race around the buoys and back.

Later in the afternoon we walked over to El Geko's.  It was 2 for 1 happy hour again so we enjoyed some Margaritas and nachos.  I love their nachos.  We had beef again.  John, Lori, Steve and Denise joined us as well.  We discovered that the two playoff games will be aired there on Sunday, so we will definitely be back for that. While we were there I asked them if they could accommodate the 18 of us for dinner tomorrow night at 5 and if they would extend happy hour for one hour for us.  Normally it ends at 5:00.  They were very accommodating.
Oh, the fish man came around today.  We bought two nice chunks of frozen Yellow Tail, which we threw in the freezer, and some more prawns.  Rob had taken a couple filet mignon out to defrost so we were going to have bar-b-que surf and turf for dinner.
As it turned out, we were pretty full from our late afternoon lunch that we didn't fix dinner.  Instead, we all sat around our little fire pit chatting and enjoying each other's company until it got to cold and we went to bed.
