Saturday; 27 May; Wall SD

It was really cold when I got up this morning.  It was still overcast and had rained pretty good during the night.
Bella and I went out for a little walk while waiting for the coffee to brew.  I was actually cold when I got back.
there are a couple things going on here in the park today.
The pool and hot tubs are open starting today with lap swimming and a water aerobics class this morning.  Way to cold thank you very much; I think I'll pass.
There was also a crafts sale this morning, so I grabbed a coffee and Bella and we walked over to the Pavilion where they were holding it. We walked through and looked at everyone's wares.  Lots of jewelry and sewing stuff.  Nothing that I couldn't live without.  We walked all around the park.  It is really full.  there are a lot of children in the park this weekend.  They have miniature golf, the pool; pool and ping pong tables.  They have a frisbee golf course and a nine hole pasture golf course.  They have a BMX (bicycle) course although we haven't seen it yet.  And a paintball course.
There are cabins all around the perimeter and they are all full as well.
It is really super pretty around here.  Green rolling hills in the immediate area and then the really interesting rock formations in Custer State Park.
My friend from back at the Ranch in Temecula, Judi and John Pontsler lived and worked in the small town of Wall which is about an hour from here.  Judi worked at the Jewelry Store called Gold Diggers.  It is across the street from the famous Wall Drug Store.  It is like a mini mall that is all run by the same people and you sort of pass through one and into the other.
Anyway;  I decided to drive-up there and check it out.  There are tons of signs along the highway advertising the "Famous Wall Drug.

This whole block is Wall Drug
Inside there are fun displays.

And of course, there are Jack-a-lopes!
Across the street is the Gold Diggers Jewelry store where my friend Judi worked last summer.

They had some really pretty black hills jewelry, but I found them to be quite expensive.
We stopped in at Walmart on the way back and picked up some new pots and veggie plant food.  tomorrow I will replant my poor tomato.
There was a lot of activity going on in the park when we got back.  It is full of families and groups all here to celebrate Memorial day Weekend.  The pool is open as well as the miniature golf and everything else.
We had some dinner, watched TV and went to bed.
