Tuesday, 13 June; Monticello, MN

Did I tell you this place reminds me of Georgia?  Well, this morning, except for the smell, it reminds me of Hawaii.  A little overcast, and a bit humid.  There is a nice breeze this morning so it isn't especially hot.
Rob sat outside drinking his coffee.  I remained inside to get the blog caught up.  And guess what??!! It is caught up and published and up to date
Speaking of Hawaii;  Rob and I are planning on spending the entire month of May next year in Kauai!  We have some positive space (no stand-by) tickets from Alaska and were able to book our flight over.  Then we were looking on line and found a condo in our favorite place, The Kiahuna Plantation in PoiPu, so we booked it.  Yippee.  Now we just have to wait to be able to book our return trip.  We are still trying to decide if Bella is going to go to Hawaii with us or stay with Mom for the Month.  That is a long time to be without her, but we spend a lot of time in the ocean when we go and that won't be especially fun for her.
One thing about being in a camp ground is that you smell what everyone is cooking.  When they are bar-b-Qing chicken or steaks or burgers and it always makes me hungry.  This morning we are smelling bacon and pancakes.  Oh my.  Rob has actually been talking about making pancakes because we have fresh blueberries.  So, he went in and made some.  They were pretty good.
After breakfast we went for a run. There is a trail that runs all the way through Minnesota called the MRT; Mississippi River Trail.  Part of it runs right by here.

So we ran/walked a total round trip of 5 miles.  It was fun.  And of course Bella loved it.
We got back and chilled for a bit and then showered and got ready.
We drove over to Chuck and Laurie's home in Buffalo (Minnesota).  It is lovely.  Big beautiful yard, lovely home.  We had wonderful homemade Mexican food. Yum Yum.  We had a wonderful time.  We visited for a while then ate dinner. They we sat outside and visited some more. Then  she served us the most delicious rhubarb pie I have ever had in my entire life.  It was so good.  We really had a wonderful evening and it is so nice to hook up with them again.
We came home and went to bed.
