Rob is coming back today and we are driving 6 hours up to Denver.
I put everything away, dumped the sewer, followed by each of the gray tanks and disconnected the sewer hose. Yuk!
I put everything away inside and pulled in all the slides. I pulled up the back jacks and put the blocks away and then I gathered up all the fencing and put it away.
Bella and I then sat in the shade and waited from Rob.
When he got her all he had to do was hook up, load the chair, put away the electric and water hose and go. 10 min. I had even made us sandwiches and and snacks to take on the road with us. Easy Peasy.
So, we were on the road by noon.
The plan was for me to go directly to the Preservery (Whitney & Obe's restaurant in Denver) locate it, then find out if there is a Walmart near by where we can park the rig for the night.
And that is what I did. I found the restaurant and a nearby Walmart. I called Walmart to make sure we could park there for the night and the woman who answered said yes. So, I drove there to check it out and sure enough, there were big trucks there. I texted the directions to Rob and then drove back to the Preservery and went in. Bella and I sat at a table and ordered a glass of wine. I texted Erik to let him know we were there and hoped he would come by. I also called him, but only got his voice mail.
I saw Whitney working behind the counter and wanted to go say Hi. I wondered if she would recognize me. I haven't seen here since her wedding which was 6 years ago. I have seen tons of pictures of her and Obe and the restaurant on Face Book. Anyway, I had this big story to tell her in case she didn't recognize me and went up to her. Well she threw up her arms and said "Hi...what are you doing here. We caught up a little bit and then she had to go back to work. The place was closing in about 20 min.
I texted Laura and called her cell phone and left a message as well. I ordered a cheese platter. And settled back with my glass of wine.
Laura texted me and said she was on her way. Then Rob called me and said he was there.
So, I told Whitney that I was going to get Rob and that Laura was on her way and I'd be right back. Then I left to get Rob.
When we got back Erik and Laura were there and Whitney was able to join us for a beer.
We enjoyed the food and the wine and beer and especially catching up with Erik, Laura, and Whitney. Unfortunately it was time to go. We finally got to say hi to Obe, but that was about it.
We gave hugs and said good bye and headed back to the rig. We got all settled in when there was a knock at the door. It was security telling us we couldn't spend the night. What????!!!!!
So, we got dressed and headed on up the road. We found another Walmart and asked if we could stay and the guy looked at Rob as if he was crazy and said , of course not. So we went on up the road further and finally found a rest stop.
We snuggled in between to big rig trucks and went to bed.
