Friday, 17 November; LA to Fresno

Rob got up early and headed off to the Airport for his trip.  I actually got up at the same time since I was already awake.  Must be East Coast time.
I didn't want to leave to early because I wanted to do a little shopping on the way to Fresno.  If I left to early none of the shops would be open before I even arrived in Fresno.  Besides that, Mom is playing bridge today and won't be back until later this afternoon. I could see the 405 from where I was sitting in the Teton and even at this hour it is backed up and flowing slowly. So, I watched several episodes of Reign which I am totally hooked on.  It is sooo good.
Bella and I went out for a couple walks and then I finally loaded up the car and headed out.
Last year I bought a couple long sleeve T-shirts that were christmasy. I bought one for me and one for Mom.  I thought I got them at Walmart so we stopped in at one, but they were not there.  I stopped in at a Costco.  I was looking for some corduroy pants but they didn't have them.  I also wanted some vanilla coffee which only seems to be in the SoCal Costcos.  They did have that.
Up in the Bakersfield area I found a Kohl's.  They had the T-shirts I was looking for so I bought 2 each for mom and the same two for me.  I also found a couple tops for me.  After that we went all the way up to Fresno and to the Costco up there.
I loaded up on groceries for Mom.  Stuff that would be easy to fix down the line. I also got something for us to eat for dinner tonight and then I went to her house.  She was already home.
I brought all the groceries in and overwhelmed us both with them all but we got them put away and then sat down and enjoyed a glass of wine.
We had a nice evening catching up.
